As soon as the six guardians had geared up and were ready, they said their goodbyes to everyone at camp before flying towards the monolith with their ships.

The Young Wolf had told the Vanguard to be ready, told them that by tomorrow the Witness would be dead but until they fought through the monolith, she needed everyone else to distract the Witness's forces outside the monolith so her team could focus on the task at hand.

Everyone was all too eager to help.

So, with the promise of keeping the army busy, the fireteam of God-Slayers transmatted into their ships to head on over to the monolith but before the Guardian left, she glanced at Mara one last time, eyes shining with love, determination and longing which was reflected back in the Queen's eyes.

"Go." The Awoken monarch mouthed to the Titan, nodding her head and smiling sadly at the guardian making the Young Wolf smile back.

She nodded her head and with one final glance at her fiancée, she transported into her ship and as soon as she sat down in the pilot seat, Ghost instantly activated the thrusters of her new ship and they raced off towards the Witness, her fireteam joining her as they all flew in a V-formation.

As soon as they got close to the Monolith though, the Witness tried to shoot them out of the sky so knowing that they probably wouldn't be able to get to the top without crashing, she made the decision to transmat in at the bottom of the structure.

"Team! We're sitting ducks up here. I'm sending you all transmat coordinates. On my mark, we go!"

"Ready?!" She exclaimed, all the while performing evasive maneuvers to dodge the Witness defensive turrets.

"Ready!"

"3...2...1...Mark!"

As soon as the words left her mouth, she felt as her body was transported to the coordinates via Ghost and as soon as her feet landed on the ground, five new sets of feet appeared to the left and right of her, signaling everyone had made it which made her breath a sigh of relief.

"Are you all alright?" The Guardian asked worriedly, glancing at her friends with a concerned frown along her face.

Nolan was the first to speak up, "Yeah, barely even nicked us." He replied back, unholstering his No Hesitation Auto Rifle, which sprayed healing bullets, from his back before placing his Speaker Helm on his face, which would also allow him to throw healing turrets down on the ground for everyone to use incase they were in a tight situation.

"Speak for yourself." Echo grumbled, his red and black armor shimmering as he reloaded his shotgun before checking his new Hazardous Propulsion Chestplate, making sure all the rocket tubes were cleared as he responded back, "That fucker almost shot down my favorite ship."

Lillian rolled her eyes, "That's your only ship." She said dryly while checking her weapons.

"Point still stands."

"Erin, catch!" The Young Wolf exclaimed, taking out the Still Hunt Sniper Rifle Cayde had given to her and throwing it at her friend.

Without missing a beat, the Solar Hunter caught the sniper before turning to look at the Titan with a questioning tilt to her head, "What's this for?" She asked.

"Cayde gave it to me. Apparently it synergizes with the energy in Celestial Nighthawk, acting like a second golden gun and since I'm not a hunter, I feel like this sniper will do you better than me right now. But I want it back once we're done here, got it?" She said with a raised eyebrow making Erin nod her head.

"You betcha Wolf!" She said, a grin across her face from underneath her helmet, "I'll protect this Sniper as if it was my own!"

"That's what worries me." The Guardian deadpanned, making Kate laugh while Erin pouted.
