When the Titan woke up the next...morning? She saw that the sky was already bright above her head and she could hear the others mingling around camp so, with great reluctance she yawned, stretched her arms and sat upright on the soft grass below.

She didn't necessarily know how day and night cycles worked within the pale heart, nor how much time has passed for her compared to time out in Sol but she had to have at least gotten a few decent hours of sleep.

It was weird, for sure because the only reason there probably is a day night cycle within this sacred place is because of one of their memories, there really isn't any other reason for the Traveler to cycle through times of day unless it was because of one of their memories.

The Young Wolf rubbed her eyes and couldn't help the yawn that fell from her lips as she stood up onto her own wobbly feet.

She truly wasn't a morning person, but she had things to do and they couldn't wait another moment for the Witness to strike.

They had to strike back before it was too late.

Before she joined the others by the fire though, Ghost transmatted out of her pack and floated right before her, "How'd you sleep?" He asked softly, his voice still somewhat weak making the Guardian's inside clench as she gazed at him with worry behind her irises.

She decided to ignore the dread creeping up her spine for the time being, "Fine." She whispered, reaching up to start unbraiding her hair while she spoke, "Considering I've only slept with Mara for a year straight, it could've been worse." She said, gathering all her hair and putting it up in a small bun for the time being.

"I get it, still after yesterday and the night you had, a few hours is better than none."

The Titan glanced over at the campsite and realized that Ikora and Zavala seemed to be the only ones around at the moment, Crow and Cayde no doubt out and about scouting ahead for their next plan of action.

Ghost, noticing where she was staring nodded, his shell bobbing up and down, "Crow and Cayde left earlier, I...don't think Cayde wanted to hang around with all the tension between him and his fireteam." He said, sighing under his breath before continuing, "Coming together was...hard. For everyone. I thought it would feal right having the Vanguard back together but..."

"Yeah." The Titan nodded her head, "There's definitely this tension in the air. Things left unspoken."

Ghost hummed in agreement, "Targe told me that Zavala had forgiven himself for what happened to his family, but the Witness made him relive losing them...And it showed him what it would be like to have them back."

"It must've taken everything for the commander to refuse that offer." Ghost shook his shell, "Ikora has concerns about his mental state. She's been staying close to him, making sure he's okay while Crow, Cayde and you take point in pushing closer to the Witness's monolith."

"It's time to do some trailblazing, Guardian."

The Young Wolf grinned, "My speciality."

After the woman freshened up and redid her hair so it could fit inside her helmet without being too uncomfortable to her, she walked over towards Ikora and Zavala who were standing out and looking at the water before them.

At her approach, both Vanguard's turned to look at her and where Ikora offered her a warm smile, the commander merely nodded his head before turning back to the horizon with an unreadable expression.

"Guardian." Ikora said, her expression faltering for a moment at Zavala's reaction but she quickly recovered and offered the Titan a sad smile, "You feeling better?" She asked.
