Mara blearily blinked open her eyes as she awoke from slumber, but as soon as she did, she had to look away and couldn't stop the slight wince she produced as the morning sunlight instantly blinded her.
The Queen of the Reef tried to turn to the other side of the bed to escape the light but was stopped with a weight holding her down that her sleep muddled mind hadn't comprehended until just this moment.
She looked down and Mara couldn't help the soft smile that spread across her face when she saw the Young Wolf's tousled up brown curls obscuring her vision.
The Titan's head was resting right on her shoulder so the monarch could feel every time the younger woman took a breath and exhaled back onto her bare skin sending pleasant shivers down the Queen's entire body.
Her cheek was also smushed against her clavicle, eyes closed and nose brushing against Mara's soft skin which made the guardian look ten times more adorable than when she was up and smiling which was a feet in of itself.
They have come such a long way from when they had first met, all those years ago back in her Throne Room at the Reef.
To be fair, just in this last year things have changed drastically for them both.
The Guardian suddenly shifted in her sleep, humming contently when she realized she was still laying against Mara and the Queen watched as the young woman smiled in her sleep, burrowed further into her embrace and from underneath their sheets, brushed both of their naked legs together before settling back down again.
Mara Sov, Queen of the Reef, member of Humanity's Coalition and one of the most powerful women in all of Sol couldn't stop her heart from melting as she gazed down at the naked woman in her arms.
The Young Wolf was one of a kind, there was no one else in the universe that could match up to her strength, her will or her ferocity which was a given, but in Mara's personal opinion that wasn't the best part of her girlfriend.
It was her heart, how much she loved others that really made her stand out. The way she would play with children all day just to make them smile, the way she would help some random person on the side of the street just because they looked like they needed it or the way she would spend hours upon hours working on a small, silly project just to get her, Queen of the Reef to smile at her.
She truly did love the woman in her arms, with every fiber of her being,
As Mara continued watching the woman beside her snuggle further and further into her arms, watch as the guardian trusted the Awoken while she was at her most vulnerable to protect her, to hold her heart in her hands and keep it safe from harm and allowed the Queen out of everyone she could've had, to see the most private parts of herself, both mentally and physically...
Needless to say Mara fell harder and harder for this amazing woman everyday she got to spend with her...
Her years and years of admiring this gorgeous woman from afar was finally over, now that she had the real thing, she never planned on letting her go, not when she made her this happy.
From just simply waking up and laying eyes on her, Mara's stomach was in knots as her eyes roamed all along the Titan's lithe yet muscular frame.
Even though the sheets were covering most of their bodies, Mara could see her girlfriend's physique clear as day in her mind.
Her small yet firm biceps, her perky breasts that the Queen could feel pressing against her side, strong and thick thighs tangled under the blankets with the Awoken's and her girlfriend's six pack that she could probably bounce rocks off of they were so hard.
