Diya's POV:

The most awaited day finally arrived. I woke up from the bed with a lot of excitement. I didn't have any worries or nervousness like every other girl who would leave their home soon after marriage and enter a completely new home and new atmosphere. I would continue to live in my home with my parents and brother as usual. The only difference was that my love Arun and our daughter Pari were going to be added to our lovely home. I was excited, exhilarated and my soul was filled with optimism.

When I was looking up and dreaming about our marriage with a permanent smile on my face, my trance was broken when I heard, "Oh, the bride has woken up. Let's give her a bath."

"Bath?!" I turned to them, widening my eyes and said, "I will bathe myself."

Four to five aunties were there and all of them were already ready with silk sarees when it was just early morning 3 o'clock. I wondered whether they slept or not.

One of the aunty giggled, "Don't worry. We will not see anything. You belong to your husband only. We will just apply turmeric to your face, hands and feets. Then you bathe yourself."

I widened my eyes and turned to Pari and Srisha who were sleeping nearby me. Thank god, they were sleeping.

"Aunty, stop talking like this." I blushed a little.

"Hmm. Hmm.. You are blushing in front of us like this. We don't know how your husband is going to manage you," Another aunty giggled.

"Aunty.. " I furrowed my eyebrows this time.

"Okay, Come. We will apply turmeric and then you bathe," One aunty said.

"Where is my Maa?" I asked.

"Your Maa and some other relatives went to do the same bathing ritual for the groom. He woke up very early. He doesn't sleep itself, it seems." She giggled.

I chuckled and got down from the bed.

"Go and finish all your morning rituals and wear this," An aunty said and gave me a yellow coloured saree. I nodded and went inside the bathroom.

After some time, I finished all my morning rituals, wore the yellow saree and came out.

They took me out of the wedding hall and made me sit on a three legged short stool under the sky and poured water on me through a sieve. Despite the warm water, I shivered in the freezing weather. Everyone would dream of going to Switzerland for their honeymoon. But my wedding itself happened in a mini Switzerland like ooty. I was shivering in the cold mist and the icy breeze while the married women of my relatives applying turmeric to my face one by one.

Soon that ritual was over and I came back to my room with wet clothes while shivering and increased the temperature of the heater in my room. When the hot air from the heater brushed my body, I felt some ease for the coldness.

After some time, when I felt comfortable to bath, I reduced the temperature of the heater to normal and went to bath. When I bathed and came out, it was about 4 o'clock. Srisha woke up by now. But Pari was still sleeping.

The make up artist was ready in my room and she started to help me in wearing the saree.

"Good morning Akka," Srisha said.

"Good morning." I smiled.

"Let me bathe and get ready. I will go to Arun Anna's room and I will help him to groom like a Prince." She jumped out of the bed.

"Are you going to meet your brother Arun? Or My brother Vijay?" I giggled.

She blushed clearly.

"Tell me." I chuckled.
