"Has it really been almost 10 years?"
I question Alyssa astonished.

"Yes we met almost 10 years ago!" One of my oldest college friends giggles on the other end of the telephone.

"Anyways I know we haven't been in touch as much as we used to, but I still consider you one of my closest friends even if you are a thousand miles away.."
"Alyssa spit it out stop babbling!" Both our laughs echo through my telephone.

"Would you to be my bridesmaid" she spits it out so quick I have to ask her again.

"What did you just say?"

"I want you to be a bridesmaid in my wedding..."

"A BRIDESMAID?!? I DIDNT EVEN KNOW YOU WERE DATING ANYONE!"

I hear Alyssa sigh. "I know I know I'm horrible."

"Forget that ur a bride to be!" I squeal.

"Where will be wedding be in California or New York?"

"Well my family is in California but we both live in New York, so we will just fly everyone up."

"Wait who is it?! Why haven't I seen him on your social media, or why have you not told me about him?"

"Well when you get to NYC you will understand. I got to go I'll text you the date and you can save it in your work calendar! I DONT WANT ANY COURT DATES INTERFERING WITH MY WEDDING PLANS!"

"Okay okay! Goodbye and congratulations!"

As I hang up the phone I start to reminisce about the college days it seems like so long ago. I'm now a divorce lawyer working at an amazing law firm. My life has seemed to fly by so fast lately. Now that I look around this big empty apartment I feel astounded at how far I've come.
