"Honey are you going back to the office?" She asks sweetly as she finishes her salad.
I almost laugh at the irony. I took off the rest of the day because I assumed we would be engaged by now. I wanted us to be able to go have a celebration the rest of the day maybe go pick out stuff or something wedding related.
"Yes, I'm going back to the office" I lol just walk around town until I get off I don't wanna reveal my secret.
"Are you okay honey, you look bummed about something?"
"In fine we just lost a if client at work because of some complication with a contract."
"Oh I'm sorry honey."
She reaches over and grabs my hand.
I smile at her touch. she is so beautiful and perfect. Her small thin hand is cold against my large warm Palm.
I keep thinking how beautiful that ring would look on her hand.
I get the check and we part our ways. Her back to her work and me to walk around aimlessly.
