"Hey honey, did we run out of white wine vinegar or am I just blind?" I called out from where I stood on my tiptoes in front of the cupboard, squinting at the contents.
"You're just blind Taylor, I can see it from here." Travis laughed at me, and I turned to wrinkle my nose at him. "Look, by your elbow. The little green bottle."
"Oh." I flushed red as he laughed again, grabbing the bottle and closing the cupboard. "It's not funny." I insisted as he came over, leaning over the other side of the kitchen island to where I was standing. "I don't want to mess this up."
"Baby, you're a great cook. Your parents will love it." He reassured me. "Are you sure there's nothing I can do to help?"
I shook my head, leaning over the counter and planting a quick kiss on his lips. Travis just stood there, watching me for a few minutes as I started on dinner. My parents were coming in to visit us for a few days since Travis and I were going to Kansas City for Christmas, so we were having a pre-Christmas a week early. I was really excited, and I knew Travis was too. He got along so well with both my Mom and Dad, and I adored that.
"Okay." I sighed when I had nothing more to do except wait for everything to cook. "I think I've got everything sorted."
"Are you sure you cleaned the bathroom enough times?" Travis teased me from where he was sitting on the couch.
"Excuse me for wanting to have a clean house when my parents come over." I told him, walking over to stand behind the couch and run my hands onto his shoulders.
"Are you being cheeky again?" He murmured.
"No, I'm being realistic." I bent down, kissing his neck.
"You're being cheeky." Travis corrected, reaching behind him and pulling me over the back of the couch. I squealed as I tumbled into his lap, laughing as he poked my stomach playfully, tickling me.
"Okay!" I gasped, wriggling as peals of laughter escaped my lips. "Okay, you win!"
"Good." Travis stopped tickling me, and then pulled my chin up so his mouth could come down against mine. Curled up in his lap, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back enthusiastically. His tongue dove into my mouth, brushing against mine until I fought back, battling him for dominance.
A quiet gasp shot from Travis' lips as I pushed up, letting my legs slide down the outsides of his thighs until I straddled him. The thick hardness between his legs pressed deliciously up against my leggings and I ground against him, growing slick as he rubbed against my aching core. We'd been so busy leading up to the holidays that we'd spent our time in bed together talking instead of doing much of anything else, making the most of our limited alone time. Now, it had caught up to us. I was desperate for him.
"God baby!" Travis groaned as I rocked my hips forwards against him, pouring every ounce of need into the way I kissed him. "You're..."
A light knock on the front door made me groan, and I forced myself to pull back. God, what awesome timing.
"This is not over." I told Travis.
"Yes ma'am." He murmured as I forced myself off his lap and to my feet.
"Fix that." I pointed to where his jeans strained against his erection. Travis laughed at me as I composed myself, flattened my hair, and then went to open the door.
It was amazing seeing my parents again. We caught up over the dinner table, laughing and chatting for a long time, long after our plates were clear and our glasses were empty. Dad was particularly interested in everything Travis had to say about the current football season; the Chiefs had unfortunately been knocked out recently but him and I were still planning to support Jason and the Eagles who had made it through. The Eagles had actually been the ones to knock the Chiefs out, so Travis wasn't too mad about it. While they talked football, Mom told me all about what she'd been working on at home; a new charity. She'd been wanting to start one for ages but hadn't had the money. I'd offered to give her the money but she'd refused, so instead I'd suggested she started up a donations page where people could support it. Then I'd just got my team to make hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of tiny donations under different accounts, and it had all added up to the money Mom needed. She still didn't know I'd been behind everything, and I wasn't about to tell her. It was all worth it to see the smile on her face when she talked about it.
