I was so bored.
Sundays were our lazy day; the one day a week during the off season that Travis and I dedicated to just spending with each other. But he had a lot to do at the moment, so he was sitting at the table working on his computer. I was draped over the couch with my guitar, but it had been almost an hour and I was out of ideas and bored of playing. The fireplace crackled under the TV, warming up the room and keeping the outside cold at bay. Snow blew outside and I watched the flakes swirl past the window for a while, but I was still bored out of my mind.
Rolling over onto my stomach, I peeked up at Travis over the back of the couch. He was fully absorbed in his work, taking phone calls every ten minutes. I sighed, watching as he typed away, just staring at him. God, he was so effortlessly handsome, the most beautiful man I'd ever seen. Sometimes I looked at him and still couldn't believe I got to call him mine.
After a few minutes, I got up from the couch and wandered off to see if I could find one of the cats. But they were all hiding, probably cuddled up somewhere warm away from the blizzard outside.
I walked past our bedroom and then turned back, going in and rifling at the very back of the cupboard. I found an old Eagles shirt that Travis had forgotten I owned and stripped down to my underwear and bra before pulling it over my head. Then I found two hair ties, twisting my hair into two little braids.
"You hungry? I was going to start dinner." I told Travis as I went out into the kitchen.
"Uh, sure." He said without looking over his shoulder. "I'll take a break soon and come help you."
"Okay." I leaned against the counter, waiting for him to turn around and see my shirt, but he didn't. He was pretty busy, so I left it and started getting out ingredients for dinner. He'd notice eventually.
It didn't take me very long since I'd opted for a simpler dinner of stir fry and noodles, and I placed a bowl down for Travis twenty minutes later.
"Eat." I kissed his cheek. "You've been working all day."
"Thanks baby, this looks..." Travis glanced up at me and then narrowed his eyes as they landed on my shirt. "The fuck are you wearing?"
"Eagles shirt. You like it?" I asked him, turning away and walking back into the kitchen. I could feel his eyes following me as I stretched up on my tiptoes to grab some glasses from the highest cabinet, arching my back a little so the shirt slipped up and exposed my lace clad ass. "You want a proper drink or just some water?" I asked over my shoulder as I filled one of the glasses for me.
Travis didn't answer and I bit down on a smile, knowing he'd be glaring at my shirt when I turned around. Sure enough, when I took the cups of water and a bowl balanced in my arms to the table, his expression made my stomach tremble. I knew he hated it when I wore anything but his number. And wearing another team's merch entirely, even his brothers, I knew he'd flip out. I was hoping for it. I wanted to goad him into something he only did when he really wanted to punish me.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Travis asked me, his voice calm, but I heard the undertone. He was furious.
"Eating dinner." I pushed one of the glasses over to him as I sat down across the table. "Oh, by the way, I got some of the drafts back from that photoshoot for the new album."
"Yeah?" Travis raised an eyebrow at me. I nodded, twisting one of my braids around my finger in anticipation. "You braided your hair." He reached out and picked up the other braid, tugging on it gently.
"Uh huh." I grinned, and he placed my braid back down against my chest.
"What are you playing at?" He asked as I stabbed a noodle and stuck it in my mouth.
