excerpt from over the fence
set when Andrea moved in with Ali and Travis in Las Vegas

Ali

"Hey!" I called into the house as I walked in and closed the door behind me, shrugging out of my jacket and hanging it up.

"Hey baby doll!" I heard my husband say from somewhere nearby and then a little flash off fur bounded down the hallway towards me.

"Oh hello there sweetie!" I smiled, crouching down to pick up my kitten as she clambered up into my arms. Concrete nuzzled up against my cheek as I cradled her like a baby, rubbing her back. She'd truly become my baby and I treated her as such, which Travis and Mom teased me about, but I loved her.

Cuddling my kitten, I carried her down to the kitchen where the smell of warm spices were coming from. Travis was standing by the stove, cooking, the kitchen warm with the smell of food. I'd spent longer at work because of something I was taking care of, which was often the case for one of us so we'd bought another car to make it easy.

Travis turned around when I came in and rolled his eyes when he saw me cradling Concrete. I stuck my tongue out at him like a child and he laughed, abandoning what he was doing.

"Come on, my turn with Mommy." Travis took the kitten out of my arms, placing her on the ground as she squeaked in protest.

"Hey she was comfy there!" I said as he pulled me into his arms.

"My turn." He murmured, placing a kiss on my lips. I smiled, slipping my hands up his chest, over his shoulders as Travis wrapped his arms around my back. "I missed you this afternoon baby doll." He told me. "Shame you were busy, or I'd have come to your office and bent you over the desk."

"Hmm." I hummed as Travis moved his lips from mine, starting to kiss my neck. "Something tells me you intend to make up for it."

"Yes ma'am." Travis whispered.

I squealed as he suddenly grabbed me, lifting me off the ground with no effort and placing me on the kitchen island. Travis chuckled, tearing my button up shirt open, buttons popping off. That was a regular occurrence, us ripping clothes. We often had to go out and buy new ones, which was a waste, but we never stopped to take care and remove clothes without tearing them. Travis slipped his hands over my bra, squeezing, teasing gently as our kisses lingered, turning into a heavy make out session on the counter.

"Why do you always look so fucking good in pants?" Travis groaned as he fiddled with the button. "They're so hard to take off sometimes."

"Work for it handsome." I murmured, lifting my hips as he tugged the ironed grey fabric down my legs.

"With pleasure." My husband winked at me, taking my knees and spreading my legs for me, standing between them. I sighed as he dragged his lips down my neck, sucking gently like he was trying to make a line of hickies. Tilting my head back, I savored the feeling of his mouth as Travis massaged my waist, pulling me closer as his lips found the curve of my breast and parted, biting gently.

We fooled around for a while, hands roaming, splotches of hickies appearing on both of us. I was soon panting with need and Travis couldn't take himself away from me even though the smell of whatever he was cooking threatened to burn. Eventually I pushed him off so that he wouldn't set off the smoke alarm and Travis took the pan off the stove. I sat back, smiling as I watched him, always loving the domestic sight of my husband.

"Hungry baby doll?" Travis murmured. "It's still a while away but I went shopping earlier and I got those Reese's you love so much." I shook my head.

"No I'm good." I sighed. "I've eaten enough already today." Travis paused, turning his full attention to me.

"Baby doll I didn't ask how much you've eaten today, I asked if you were hungry." He told me.

"I'm fine." I mumbled, but my stomach betrayed me and growled. Travis walked over to the pantry, taking something out and coming back over to stand in front of me. He unwrapped whatever he was holding and then held up a Reese's to my lips.

"You know you should eat when you're hungry baby doll." Travis murmured. "I'm not going to force you, but I am going to take care of you."

He looked at me expectantly, and even though I felt guilty, I was hungry. I parted my lips, letting him place it in my mouth. Travis smiled when I took a bite, nodding to encourage me. Feeling better since he wanted me to eat, I stopped worrying about how much I'd eaten today. I shouldn't worry about that.

"How long have you been having bad days Ali?" Travis murmured once I'd finished.

"Not long." I whispered. "Just sometimes...I feel like if I put on too much weight you might not want me as much."

"Oh baby, baby doll, no." Travis wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close. "You could never make me want you any less. You are my wife, my girl, my beautiful angel." He kissed my shoulder. "I will never want you any less. You're so beautiful." I sniffed, resting against him.

"I'm..." I paused, my voice low. "I'm scared that I won't look the same if I get pregnant. When...when I was pregnant with Vi, Joe would sometimes tell me I'd put on too much weight and he got mad that I didn't want to have sex. And when I lost her, he started telling me I should try to get myself back into shape because I was still big."

"There's a reason I fucking killed him baby doll." Travis murmured in my ear. "I know you loved him, but he was so awful to you. None of that is true or fair. You were pregnant, and then you lost your beautiful daughter and he didn't let you mourn her properly. If you get pregnant again, yes your body is going to change, but it's only going to be so much more beautiful and incredible because you'd be growing a baby Ali. That's a hard job, and if you were carrying my baby I would never think you any less than the most gorgeous woman I have ever seen, now and forever. I love you." He told me with another kiss to my shoulder. "And if you ever think you're not beautiful I'll lay you back and show you how beautiful you are."

I smiled, warmth blossoming in my heart. I didn't deserve him, but he was all I wanted and everything I'd never let go. Travis slipped a hand up my back beneath my shirt, stroking gently as he kissed my shoulder, my collarbones. I sighed, smiling wider as I ducked my head and urged him to kiss my lips, which he did.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I love you too my beautiful" My husband slipped his hands down over my ass, squeezing gently. I giggled as he parted my lips with his tongue kissing me playfully. "Hope you've cleared your evening baby doll." Travis murmured.

"Always." I reached for his shirt with a wink, pulling it up. Travis let me toss it away and then grabbed me roughly so that I wound my legs tightly around his waist and rocked his hips forwards. "Travis!" I giggled. "Doesn't work if I'm still wearing these!" I reached between our bodies and tugged at the hem of my underwear.

"Oh you're hilarious baby doll." He huffed at me and I giggled as he undid his pants, yanking clothing to the side before pushing inside me. I moaned loudly, tipping my head back as Travis bit my neck, sucking gently.

Then I heard footsteps and glanced over my shoulder to see my Mom coming down from her bedroom, pausing in the doorway to the kitchen. She went red and I burst out laughing, shoving at Travis' shoulder. He looked up and smiled apologetically at my Mom, who just sighed and shook her head at us. This wasn't the first time she'd had the unlucky timing of walking into a room while we were having sex.

"You two have a bedroom for a reason, use it." She told us, walking past us into the living room.

"Don't you want a grandchild?" I shouted after her.

"I don't need to see it being made!" She called back, and Travis and I laughed, the shaking of our bodies doing funny things to how deep he was buried inside me. I couldn't help but moan as Travis kissed me again. "Alison for fuck's sake!" Mom hollered from the other room. "Travis, for the love of god take her upstairs!"

Travis laughed and picked me up, squeezing my ass as he carried me from the room.
