Travis' POV
"Hey Travis, come on in." Joe smiled when he opened the door to his and Taylor's apartment. "How's it going?"
"Good." I nodded, smiling back as I walked inside and Joe closed the door behind me. "I brought some wine." I offered up the bottle.
"Great, could you put it in the fridge for now?" Joe asked, and I nodded. "We're all outside."
"I'll catch up." I told him, and he smiled and walked off down to the back door.
Taking the bottle of wine I'd picked up on the way over, I went down to the kitchen and smiled to myself when I saw the blonde bent over, taking something out of the oven. Glancing around to make sure no one else was nearby - everyone else seemed to be outside - I walked in and came up behind her. Taylor straightened up, placing the tray of cinnamon rolls on the stove. As she let go of the tray, I smacked her ass. Taylor squeaked, spinning around and then relaxing when she saw me.
I winked at her, going past to put the wine in the fridge. Taylor took off the oven mitts she was wearing, putting them away before peeking down the hallway.
"He went outside." I murmured.
"Good." Taylor hummed with a cute smile, reaching out to me. I stepped up closer to her, sliding my hands around her bare waist. She was dressed in a pair of light denim shorts and a tight, cropped halter top for the summer afternoon weather, and it was driving me insane.
"How was Fiji?" I asked, leaning in to pepper kisses over Taylor's jaw.
"Fine." She sighed, stroking my hair. "It got kind of slow on set so I spent a lot of time at the beach."
"Yeah." I smiled against her neck. "I can tell." Her body was tanned beautifully.
Taylor and Joe had been in Fiji for the last couple of weeks since he had to film a movie, and she'd gone with him at his request. That had sucked for me since I hadn't been able to see her, and I was so glad she was back.
We'd been fooling around behind Joe's back for months now, and I was pretty sure he didn't have the faintest clue what we were up to. Taylor and I had been friends for about nine years, and one night a few months ago we'd been a little tipsy, having a movie night when Joe was out of time. We'd ended up in bed together, and we'd been sneaking around ever since. It wasn't that serious, but it was a lot of fun, and Taylor and I were really close friends. Joe and I got on well too, and even though I knew I should feel bad about messing around with his girlfriend behind his back, I didn't.
Joe and Taylor had been dating just over seven years, and he hadn't ever mentioned marriage or kids even though Taylor wanted those things desperately. She was happy enough with him, but I'd been on the receiving end of her complaining about how she didn't think Joe wanted to marry her or have children so many times. What we had was easy, fun, but sometimes I thought about asking her to leave Joe for me. I thought maybe I could give her that life she wanted.
"Mhmm, we should stop." Taylor sighed a minute into a playful make out session. "Someone might come inside."
"Well they'll get one hell of a show." I told her, inching a hand under her shirt.
"Travis!" She gasped with a little giggle, smacking my hand away. I chuckled, planting one more kiss on her lips before letting her go.
"See you out there pretty girl." I smacked her ass one more time before leaving, her little giggle following me down the hallway.
Stepping out the back door, I forcefully greeted the four other guys Joe had invited over for drinks. Joe's other friends weren't my favorite people, but we got along alright. They smiled casually enough at me as I took a seat around the firepit, one of them reaching over to hand me a beer before going back to their conversation.
