A knock on the front door sounded through the room and I groaned as I got to my feet, the heating pad falling onto the couch as I stumbled up. Running a hand through my hair - which I knew was a complete mess - I crossed the living room and the short hallway to the door. I probably looked awful, but I really didn't care that much. When I opened the door, one of my security guards was standing there with a paper bag.

"Oh my god thank you." I sighed. I'd completely forgotten I'd ordered food, even though I was starving.

"Are you okay Miss Swift?"

"Never better, can't you tell?" My joke fell short and I shook my head, cringing at myself. "Sorry bad joke. I'm fine. Thanks a lot."

"Take care." He nodded as I closed the door.

Rubbing my aching stomach, I took the bag with me back onto the couch. I didn't love eating on the couch but I was in too much pain even though I'd taken the strongest painkillers I could find. My period was kicking my ass this time around. With a sigh, I dropped back onto the cushions and curled up in the corner, putting the heating pad back onto my stomach under my shirt. The TV continued playing whatever episode of friends I was watching as I dug into the bag, pulling out the takeout container and opening it. I smiled when I realized they'd given me almost double the fries with my burger. I ordered from that place all the time and always picked it up myself unless I was on my period, so they must have known. They were so sweet; it was this little small business run by a family and I loved chatting with them every time I went in.

Once I'd eaten the entire box, I managed to fall asleep on the couch. My period always exhausted me. I woke up an hour later, feeling even worse than I had before. Then I heard a door slam closed and lifted my head, blinking blearily through the haze of the headache that pounded behind my eyes.

"You home baby?" Travis called out, and I groaned as I sat up. He came into the living room, bag slung over his shoulders, and stopped when he saw the state of me and the living room. "Oh no, when did this happen?"

"Woke up with it this morning." I rested my head on the couch cushions as he dropped his bag on the table and came over to me.

"You should have called me, I would have picked some stuff up."

"You were busy." I shrugged.

"I'm never too busy for you." Travis kissed my forehead. "I would have come straight home if I knew you were here like this." I smiled tiredly as he started massaging my shoulders gently, tilting my head back as my eyes closed. "A little better?" He asked as the tension relaxed from my body.

"So much better." I sighed.

"What do you need baby? You want some tea?" Travis asked after a few minutes. I nodded, smiling at him gratefully as he kissed the side of my cheek and straightened up to go into the kitchen.

Travis came back a few minutes later with a steaming mug, passing it over the back of the couch into my hands. I whispered a thank you as I cradled it between my palms, blowing on the steam as Travis cleaned up the living room a little. Once he was finished, he came to sit with me on the couch, placing an arm around my shoulders as we watched the TV. Careful of my full mug, I tucked my legs underneath me and rested my head on his shoulder, my forehead resting against his neck. Travis rubbed my arm absentmindedly, pressing the occasional kiss to my hair.

"Hey hey, you're okay." He murmured as I doubled forwards, groaning through a cramp as he rubbed the small of my back gently. "Breathe." When I leaned back, Travis tucked my hair behind my ear. "Have you taken painkillers?"
