Travis' POV
"Christ baby." I murmured as I peeked out of Taylor's curtains down onto the street. "Do you know how many paps are out there right now?"
"No?" Taylor said from where she was feeding the cats.
"Shit tons." I told her, putting the curtain back in place.
"Well I guess they heard the news then huh?"
"Guess so."
The news of the century apparently. We'd wanted to control how the news came out, so we'd both done an instagram post a few hours ago announcing our engagement. Just a simple black and white picture of our hands intertwined, Taylor's ring on full display. It had completely broken the internet.
Taylor smiled to herself as she straightened up, looking down at the ring on her finger. She'd stopped to look at it about a million times in the last week, smiling adorably. I loved how much she loved it, and I immediately wrapped my arms arournd her waist, pulling her back against my chest. Taylor giggled as I kissed her shoulder adoringly. We had fallen into another honeymoon phase after getting engaged, and we were all over each other even more than normal.
"Oh Travis, not now." Taylor sighed wistfully as I continued kissing her neck. "No, we have to meet my parents for lunch in half an hour."
"That's more than enough time." I murmured, and she giggled, shaking her head.
"No, we'll be late." She turned around in my arms and wrapped her arms around my neck. "I promise I'll make it up to you later."
"Mm, you better." I said as she kissed me softly.
We got ready and left the apartment ten minutes later, the paps clicking their cameras insisently at us as we opened the door. Taylor smiled calmly as I took her hand, locking the door and walking her down the steps. They called out for her, asking questions and begging for us to stop, but we walked past them and into the car waiting for us without a problem. It only took us fifteen minutes to get to the cafe where we were meeting Taylor's parents for lunch.
Taylor smiled cutely at me as I walked around to open her door, shielding her from the paps as she tugged her dress down into place. I moved to close the door as cameras flashed, paps calling our names, surging forwards. Taylor clasped my hand as we moved up the footpath, and I led her towards the door.
Then her hand tugged mine like someone had pulled her to the side and she squeaked. I turned around to see her stumbling to catch her footing, knocked off balance by the paps pushing forwards, stifling her. One of them had caught hold of her dress, trying to pull her.
"Hey!" I yelled, pulling Taylor close, but the dude had a vice-like grip on her. Blind with rage that someone had put their hands on her, I acted before I thought, throwing a punch right to the guys nose. He stumbled back, his camera smashing onto the ground as I yanked Taylor closer and wrapped my arms possessively around her. "Are you okay baby?" I murmured.
"He touched my ass." She gasped, shaking unontrollably in my arms. "He touched me. He touched me."
The guy I'd punched picked himself up, his nose spilling blood. It looked like it was broken. I hoped it was damn broken. He wiped at the blood, smearing it as I glared at him.
"You did that on camera Kelce." He grunted. "You just wait for the lawsuit."
"I dare you to fucking try." I almost growled, pushing Taylor behind me. She grabbed my arm. "Baby go inside." I told her.
"Travis..."
"Now." I said without looking back, and a second later I felt her hand vanish and her rushed footsteps fade away. "You grabbed my fucking fiance." I told the guy, my voice dark as I tried not to shout. "Do you have any fucking decency for a woman just trying to go about her day? Or did you just think you'd grab her and she'd pose for a photo for whatever shitty magazine employs your ass."
