Taylor's POV
The meeting had been going on forever, god. I fidgeted in my seat as I only half paid attention to the zoom call I'd been on for almost two hours, wishing it could be over soon. I knew it was important for me to listen in on, but sometimes I thought about whether they'd notice if I just slipped out and turned my camera off.
But eventually, by the grace of god, it was over, and I was out of my seat the second I signed off and powered off my computer. Sighing in relief, I skipped out of the office to go off in search of Travis. He had to be around somewhere; he had been due to arrive home about half an hour ago from practice, but he'd known I had a meeting so he'd probably hadn't wanted to disturb me. I hadn't hear him come home, but it was a decent sized house and he was quiet when he wanted to me.
After a minute, I heard a faint voice coming from inside our studio room that he used for the podcast and I used for my music. He was probably doing another episode of the podcast with Jason again since they'd been planning to do it today or tomorrow, so I opened the door without hesitation. They never minded when I cut in, and Jason seemed to love it when I came over for a minute for a chat.
Travis was sitting where he usually was, and he looked up when I came in. I smiled, delighted at the sight of him.
"Hey you!" I chirped, going to wrap my arms around his neck and dipping my head down to peck a light kiss against his jaw.
"Uh, baby." Travis murmured like he was amused by my antics, like he so often was.
"I missed you this morning daddy." I purred in the tone of voice I knew he adored, sliding my hands slowly down over his chest. Jason was well used to our shirt by now, and I knew he'd just laugh and crack a joke at us before making sure it got edited out before the episode was released. "You should have woken me up before you left for practice." I murmured against his neck, my hair spilling down over my shoulder. "I had to go without my wake up kisses and I wasn't very happy about it, so why don't you finish up with Jason and daddy can come and show me a good time..." I paused. "Why are you wearing a mic?" I frowned when I kissed his neck and noticed the little microphone clipped to his shirt just beneath my lips. He never wore a mic; he used a stand microphone to record.
Then I looked up. Instead of the monitor I was used to seeing with Jason on the other side of it, there was an older man in a suit sitting behind a news station desk. I squeaked in surprise, clapping my hands over my mouth in shock. The man was a little red in embarrassment, smiling awkwardly like he was trying not to laugh.
"I'm sorry baby, I forgot to tell you that I had a live interview today." Travis said in an amused tone. "Gary, you're familiar with my girl right?"
"Of course." The man nodded, playing it off. "It's a pleasure to have you on with us Miss Swift."
"I just said all of that on live tv didn't I?" I mumbled in horror and Travis chuckled as he nodded, reaching out to rub my waist.
"It's okay." He murmured. "Call it a surprise appearance."
"Right." I went even redder, dropping my hands from my mouth. "Well I'm going to go and dig myself a very deep hole and hope my publicist doesn't find me hiding in it. I apologize."
Quickly ducking out of the frame, I fled to the door, still in disbelief I had just done that. One hand on the door, I glanced back to see Travis blowing me a sweet kiss. I hid a smile, still bright red as I moved out and closed the door behind me. Fucking hell. I'd just called Travis daddy on live tv, not once but twice. Tree was going to have my damn head for that once she'd finished laughing at me, and I knew that my fans would be going nuts. They'd never let me forget it.
