TW~Seizures and epilepsy.

Y/N's POV

I woke up that morning feeling a bit off. My head was pounding, my stomach was churning, and I just felt incredibly lethargic. I tried to shake it off, but as the day went on, I could feel that a seizure would happen today.

I have epilepsy, but, I never told Matt, because I didn't want to worry him, and I was scared about how he would react. I didn't want him to see me as fragile or weak.

I was sitting on the couch, trying to distract myself with a movie, when the room started spinning and I felt myself falling.

The last thing I remember is the flash of worry in Matt's eyes as he rushed to my aid. And then everything went dark.

Matt's POV

As I sat on the couch with my girlfriend, Y/N, snuggled up against my chest, I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with love for her. She was my everything, my rock, my soulmate. I looked down at her, her head resting peacefully on my shoulder as we watched another episode of our favorite show.

Suddenly, Y/N began to shake uncontrollably. At first, I thought she was just shivering from the cold, but then I realized something was seriously wrong. Her body stiffened, her eyes rolled back, and she began to convulse. Panic shot through me as I realized she was having a seizure.

"Y/N!" I shouted, placing my hands on her, trying to keep her from hurting herself. "Nick! Chris! Help!" I called out to my brothers who were in the other room.

Nick and Chris rushed in, their eyes widening in shock as they saw Y/N seizing on the couch. "What do we do?" Nick asked, his voice filled with fear.

"I don't know! Call Colby!" I exclaimed, feeling utterly helpless as I watched Y/N in distress. I had no idea she had epilepsy, I knew Colby would know though, as they're siblings. How could I have missed something so important about the person I loved so deeply? As Chris called Colby, Y/N's seizure was still going on.

Together, the three of us did our best to keep Y/N safe as she went through the seizure. The doorbell rung, which meant Colby was here, so Nick went to let him in and explain the situation.

"Hey, how's she doing? Has it been over 5 minutes yet?" Colby asked as he sat by his sister and held her hand, as she continued to violently convulse.

"No, it's been 3 minutes, we have no idea what's causing it!" I said, panic still laced in my voice.

"Guys, calm down, she'll be okay, she has epilepsy, she's always been ashamed of it, but you just have to hold her hand, or give her physical contact, so she's knows that you're there with her." Colby explained, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles.

Time seemed to stretch on forever as we waited for it to end. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Y/N's body relaxed, and she fell limp in my arms. As Colby went upstairs to grab a blanket for Y/N.

"Y/N, baby, can you hear me?" I whispered, my heart pounding in my chest. I gently stroked her hair, hoping for any sign that she was okay.

Slowly, Y/N's eyes fluttered open, confusion evident in her gaze. "Matt?" she mumbled, her voice weak and disoriented.

"Hi baby, yeah, it's me." I said, relief flooding through me as I saw her coming back to consciousness. "You had a seizure. Are you okay?"

Y/N's eyes widened in realisation as she slowly sat up, me helping her do so as she was really weak. "I...I have epilepsy," she admitted, her voice trembling with fear. "I didn't want you to worry."

Y/N's POV

"It's okay, sweetheart," Matt murmured, pulling me into his arms. "I've got you. You're safe now."

I clung to him like a lifeline, feeling his warmth and strength envelop me. Nick, Chris and Colby were hovering nearby. Colby walked up to me and wrapped my favorite blanket around me. Matt then gave Colby a look, as if to say 'what do I do now?', and he sprang into action, fetching water and a cold compress for me.

The seizure had lasted longer than usual, about 4 minutes, and I was left feeling drained and weak. Matt held me close, whispering soothing words in my ear as he gently rubbed my back.

"I'm so sorry, guys," I whispered, feeling tears slip down my cheeks. "I should have told you about my epilepsy."

Matt's arms tightened around me, his lips pressing soft kisses to my forehead. "It's okay, sweetheart. I'm just glad you're okay. We'll figure this out together, okay?"

I nodded, feeling grateful for his understanding and support. He helped me to sit up slowly, propping pillows behind me for comfort. Nick and Chris hovered nearby, offering me water and snacks to help me regain my strength. Colby then came over and placed the cold compress to my pale forehead, as he gave me a small smile, which I returned.

"I'm here for you, baby," Matt murmured, his thumb brushing away my tears. "You're not alone in this. I'll always be here to take care of you."
