TW~Swearing, blood, needles, stitches, hospitals.
Y/N's POV
As we made our way through the abandoned hospital, the air felt heavy with a sense of foreboding. I clutched onto Josh's hand tightly, seeking comfort in his presence. Seth, my brother, walked just ahead of us, his flashlight casting eerie shadows on the decaying walls.
"Are you sure you want to do this, babe? What if you get hurt?" Josh whispered in my ear, concern evident in his voice.
I nodded, steeling myself for the night ahead. "I want to see if we can find any paranormal activity here. It's all part of the adventure, right?"
Josh smiled at me, his eyes filled with warmth. "Just promise me you'll stay close to me, okay? I don't want anything happening to you."
We reached the operating theater, its doors creaking ominously as we pushed them open. The room was filled with an unsettling silence, broken only by the sound of our footsteps echoing off the walls. We set up our equipment – a music box, a REM pod, and a camera to document our findings.
"I think we should try the Estes Method," Josh suggested, eyeing the equipment with a sense of excitement.
I shuddered at the thought of someone going under, but I knew that it was necessary for our investigation. "I'll do it," Seth volunteered, stepping forward and taking a seat in the center of the room, putting the headphones and blindfold on.
As Seth went under, the REM pod suddenly erupted into a frenzy of beeping and flashing lights. Josh and I exchanged a worried glance as we heard the sound of metal scraping against metal and machines beeping in the distance.
"What the fuck was that? Let's get this done with... Why di you haunt this hospital?" Josh asks as Seth began speaking in a disjointed manner, his voice filled with a sense of urgency.
"Seventeen... scalpel... death... kill," Seth muttered, his eyes closed in concentration. Seventeen was always a number that appeared in videos with Seth involved, so that made me worry a bit more.
"Is anyone in danger?" I asked, my voice trembling with fear.
Seth ripped the headphones off, locking onto mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. "No, no, no, it said Y/N," he whispered, causing a cold chill to run down my spine.
Josh grabbed my hand, his grip firm and reassuring. "No spirits are allowed to touch or attach themselves to anyone here," he declared to the room.
But just as he spoke, I felt a sharp pain slice through my arm. I cried out in surprise, looking down to see a long incision line running from my shoulder to my elbow, blood pooling beneath the wound.
"Holy shit, no, we're going, I'm gonna get the equipment, Josh wroa her arm with something to stop the bleeding!" Seth shouted, his voice filled with concern, as he picked up the equipment.
Josh reacted quickly, taking off his hoodie and wrapping it tightly around my arm to stem the bleeding. Seth's eyes widened in shock as he took in the sight of my injured arm. Josh helped me to pack up our things, as we grabbed our 3 rucksacks.
"We need to get you to a hospital, just don't think about the blood babe." Josh said firmly, his voice tinged with worry.
I nodded, feeling a sense of panic rising within me. I had always been scared of hospitals, needles, and blood, but I knew that I needed medical attention.
As we made our way to the nearest hospital, Seth and Josh stayed by my side, offering words of comfort and distraction to ease my anxiety. I clung onto Josh's hand tightly, drawing strength from his presence as we entered the emergency room.
The sight of needles and medical equipment made me shudder, but I knew that I had to be brave for the sake of my injury.
The doctor quickly assessed my wound, determining that I needed stitches to close the gash. "It's going to need stitches, so I'm going to numb your arm, and then start stitching, you two can stay if you want."
As the doctor prepared to administer the stitches, I felt a sense of dread building within me. Josh squeezed my hand reassuringly, his eyes filled with love and concern.
"You'll be okay, babe. I'm right here with you," Josh murmured, his voice a soothing balm to my anxious mind. Seth was also there, a worried and guilty look on his face, as he held my other hand, squeezing it gently, giving me some comfort.
I closed my eyes tightly, trying to block out the sensation of the needle piercing my skin. Josh and Seth's presence beside me was a grounding force, a source of comfort as the doctor worked to close the wound on my arm.
"It's nearly done Y/N, you're okay." Seth said, as he watched the stitches close the gash on my arm.
After what felt like an eternity, the stitches were finally done. I let out a shaky breath, relief flooding through me as I realized that the worst was over.
Josh wrapped his arms around me, holding me close as I leaned against him, exhausted from the night's events. Seth stood nearby, his expression one of concern and guilt.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. We never meant for any of this to happen," Seth apologized, his eyes filled with remorse.
I reached out, squeezing his hand in forgiveness. "It's okay, Seth. We were all just caught up in the moment. We just wanted to find some evidence."
We stayed at the hospital until I was given the all-clear to go home. Josh drove us back to our apartment, after dropping Seth home, his hand never leaving mine as we settled in for the night, reflecting on the crazy events that occurred only a few hours ago.
