Y/N's POV

As I sat on the couch in my pajamas, waiting for Matt to come home from work, I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement. Today marked our one-year anniversary, and I couldn't wait to see what surprises he had in store for me. Just then, I heard the sound of keys jingling at the door, and my heart fluttered in anticipation.

"Hey, baby!" Matt called out as he walked in, a big grin on his face. "Happy anniversary!"

I jumped up from the couch and ran into his arms, wrapping my arms around his neck and planting a kiss on his lips. "Happy anniversary, babe!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with joy.

Matt pulled back slightly and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small velvet box. My eyes widened in surprise as he got down on one knee and opened the box to reveal a stunning diamond ring.

"Y/N, I've known you for what feels like forever, you're my girlfriend, my bestfriend and my whole world. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, so will you marry me?" he asked, his eyes filled with love and hope.

Tears welled up in my eyes as I nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes, a million times yes!" I cried out, feeling overwhelmed with happiness.

Matt slipped the ring onto my finger and stood up, pulling me into a tight embrace and spinning me around the room. "I love you so much, my beautiful angel," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion.

"I love you too, Matt," I replied, my heart brimming with love. "I can't believe we're engaged!"

We spent the rest of the evening celebrating our engagement, toasting to our future together and reminiscing about the past year we had spent together. As we snuggled on the couch, sharing stories and dreams, I couldn't help but feel grateful for having Matt in my life. He was my rock, my best friend, and now, my future husband.

The next morning, I woke up to the smell of pancakes wafting through the air. I rubbed my eyes sleepily and got out of bed, following the delicious scent to the kitchen where Matt was standing at the stove, flipping pancakes with a grin on his face.

"Good morning, beautiful," he greeted me, his eyes sparkling with love.

"Good morning, handsome," I replied, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "What's the occasion?"

"Just wanted to make you a special breakfast to celebrate our engagement," he explained, placing a plate of pancakes in front of me. "Dig in!"

As we ate our pancakes and sipped on coffee, we chatted about wedding plans and our future together. Matt was full of ideas and excitement, and I couldn't help but get caught up in his enthusiasm. We talked about venues, guest lists, and colours, and by the end of breakfast, we had a rough outline of what our dream wedding would look like.

After breakfast, Matt suggested we go for a walk in the park to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. I happily agreed, and we set off hand in hand, enjoying each other's company and the crisp autumn air. We walked along the tree-lined path, kicking up leaves and laughing like kids. It was moments like these that made me realize how lucky I was to have Matt in my life. He brought so much joy and love into my world, and I couldn't imagine my life without him.

As we sat on a bench overlooking the pond, I turned to Matt with a serious expression on my face. "I have something else I want to talk to you about," I began, my voice soft.

I saw a flutter of confusion and worry in his eyes, probably wondering what could possibly be going on. "What is it, Y/N?" He asked, my heart started racing.

"I know we're still young, and you have such a great career ahead of you, but I hope you can stay by my side." I said, as he grabbed my hand.

"Of course I will, your my soon to be wife. What's going on baby?" He spoke, his soft voice claming me down.

"I'm pregnant, Matt, your gonna be a dad!"I finally managed to say, as a smile came to his face.

"Y/N, this is amazing, I love you so much!" He replies, throwing hos arms around me in a tight hug.

After we calmed down, we sat on the bench, gazing out at the water, lost in our own world of love and excitement. The rest of the day was a blur of phone calls to our families, sharing the news of our engagement and my pregnancy, and planning our future together. It felt like a dream come true, and I couldn't wait to start this new chapter of our lives together. Chris and Nick couldn't wait to be uncles, and they confessed that they would spoil our child rotten.

As the sun set, we walked back to our apartment, hand in hand, feeling more connected and in love than ever before. We spent the evening cuddled up on the couch, sipping champagne and talking about our dreams for the future. Matt was my partner in crime, my soulmate, and now, my fiancé. I couldn't have asked for a better person to share my life with.

As we curled up in bed that night, wrapped in each other's arms, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment and gratitude. I knew that our future together would be filled with challenges and adventures, but I also knew that as long as we had each other, we could conquer anything that came our way.

"Goodnight, my love," Matt whispered, pressing a kiss to my forehead.

"Goodnight, my fiancé," I replied, my heart overflowing with love. "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."

And with that, we drifted off to sleep, dreaming of our future together as husband and wife, mother and father.
