Y/N's POV

As I sat under the tree in our secret little park that we found in high school, I couldn't help but smile as I watched my best friend Nick Sturniolo set up our picnic. He had brought an array of snacks and drinks, laying them out on the checkered blanket with a grin on his face.

"Thanks for coming out here with me, Y/N. I know it's not the most fucking extravagant or exciting place, but it's our little slice of paradise," Nick said, handing me a sandwich and a soda.

I chuckled, taking a bite of the sandwich. "It's fucking perfect, Nick. Plus, who needs excitement when you have great company like you?"

Nick laughed slightly at my words, ducking his head as he took a sip of his drink. "You always know how to make me smile, Y/N. I'm so fucking grateful to have you as my best friend."

I felt my heart swell with warmth at his words, knowing that our friendship was one of the most important things in my life. "Same here, Nick. Two gay best friends having a picnic, what more could you want. Now, let's play some Uno and see who the reigning champion is."

We spent the next hour laughing and joking as we played Uno, the competitive spirit between us only adding to the fun. Nick's laughter was infectious, and I found myself feeling completely at ease in his presence.

"UNO!" I scream as Nick wears a smirk on his face. "DRAW 4, UNO!" He yells back I as groan in frustration. "NICKKK!" I throw my cards and lay my head on his lap, as his laughs and pokes me. "No one likes a sore loser now do they Y/N?" He asks, as I poke my tongue out at him.

After the game, we decided to chill in the park for a bit, taking turns pushing each other on the swings and reminiscing about old memories. As we sat on the roundabout, spinning slowly under the warm sun, I couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these with Nick.

"Remember the first time we came to this park, Y/N? We were just kids back then, but it feels like yesterday, we had no idea we would be Youtubers now." Nick said, his eyes filled with nostalgia.

I nodded, a fond smile on my face. "Yeah, we were so carefree back then. But I wouldn't trade those memories for anything. They shaped our friendship into what it is today."

Nick's expression softened, and he reached out to squeeze my hand gently. "I'm glad you're in my life, Y/N. You've always been there for me, through thick and thin. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, moved by his sincerity. "I feel the same way, Nick. You're like a brother to me, and I'll always have your back, no matter what."

We sat in comfortable silence for a few moments, the sound of birds chirping and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze filling the air. The warmth of the sun on my skin and the sense of peace that surrounded us made me feel truly content.

As the afternoon stretched on, we eventually gathered our things and made our way back home. Nick obviously bragging about how he won Uno.
