TW~Stress, swearing, bullying, body shaming and panic attack.

Y/N's POV

I was so stressed out. I just found out that after revising for my exam for two weeks, I got a C, my manager at work is making me work overtime without pay, and my boy/girlfriend just dumped me for one of my other friends.

I have terrible panic attacks some days but I always have my brothers with me to support me, whether that's school, work or my panic attacks.

The bell for the end of last period has just rung, so I grabbed my bag, which had my work uniform in it, and then walked ten minutes down the road until I reached the retail shop where I worked.

"You're late, that's the second time this week Y/N!" My boss shouted from his office, as I headed to the bathrooms to get changed. "Sorry! Teacher held us back." I replied, only to be met with a scoff. "Not my fault, and you need to work overtime until 5pm today." I groaned, that's literally another hour!

I got into my uniform quickly, and went into the back storage room, where I grabbed boxes and a trolley of tinned cans. I made my way out into the shop and began stacking shelves and whatnot.

It's pretty relaxing I guess, but that ended when some people in my year arrived, and recognised me. "Oh my god! That's Y/N. She got a C on her test today, lowest in the class, can you believe it?" One of them whispered, but I heard it. I continued stacking shelves, hearing them whispering about me still, as some tears fell from my eyes.

They finally left after an hour of 'browsing', more like bullying, and I remembered that I still have another hour in this hellhole. My brothers have probably tried calling me and texting me, but my phone is in my locker. They're doing some sort of food video today at the house, and I knew that they wanted me to join them, but I couldn't due to school and work.

"Y/N! Someone called in sick, so you need to work their shift which ends at 7pm!" My boss shouts yet again from his office. Oh hell no. I walked into his office and stand there staring at him for a bit. "I can't do that. I have to get home and study for school and eat dinner and sleep!" I exclaim, only to be met with a stone cold face. "You will work until then, study later, skip a meal, you might need to, and then sleep later!" He shouts. Did he just body shame me?

"I quit, you're a fucking bitch and a sexist man!" I yell, slamming his office door shut, grabbing my bag from my locker and walking out of the shop.

Tears stream down my face as I just want to sleep. This day couldn't go any worse.

Oh yes it could.

I walk through the front door of the house at around 7pm (the walk home is pretty long), only to be met with silence. There's no way everyone is asleep now. I hear shouts from upstairs, Chris, Matt and Nick must be streaming, I wonder how their cooking turned out.

I walked into the kitchen, to see an absolute mess. There are pots, pans, bowls and other kitchen utensils everywhere. There's flour coating the countertops and floors, and there's water everywhere too. I sigh, and feel everything bubble to the surface until it bubbled over.

I sat at the kitchen counter and let all of my emotions out. I cried and cried for what felt like ages, feeling my breath being lost in the mix of everything. I started panicking a lot more, as I then began overthinking. Am I going to fail school? I can't even stay in a good job, where am I going to end up in life? Do I really need to eat less? I looked down at my stomach and cried more. Maybe I do.

I couldn't breathe, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get one deep breath in. I started spiralling, knowing I need to find my brothers. But, they're on live stream, and I don't want to be that needy and annoying person.

I put my head on the counter, my breaths becoming more short and ragged, as I begged to just take at least one deep breath.

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder, and there stood before me was Matt, with a worried look on his face.

"Hey, what's wrong, take a deep breath for me." He whispered, but all I could do was shake my head frantically. "I-I c-can't Matt." I stutter, as Matt takes a seat beside me. "You can, just take your time. Do you want Chris and Nick?" He asks reassuringly, and I nod my head, wanting nothing more than to have support from my three favourite people in the world.

"I'll be back, look, here's a breathing technique. Breathe in for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds and then repeat it. I'll be as quick as I can." He says, before leaving to get Chris and Nick.

I tried the breathing technique, and to my surprise, it actually started helping a bit. No less than 30 seconds later, I heard the boys rushing down the stairs. They sat on the stools beside me and Matt stood opposite me on the other side of the counter.

"Hey sis,  how you doing? Feeling a bit better now?" Nick asks slowly rubbing my back as I nodded a bit, cuddling into Chris' side. "That's good, keep doing your breathing Y/N." Matt said, reminding me to inhale for 4 seconds again.

This went on for about ten minutes before my breathing finally returned to normal. Nick and Matt cleaned up the kitchen during that time, as Chris kept me in his arms. The stress and anxiety had lessened a lot more now, and that was thanks to three incredible people that I got to call my brothers.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Chris asks as I leave his arms to sit up more and wipe my tears. I nodded before speaking "I got a C in that test I was revising two weeks for, and then work was an absolute bitch. My boss nearly made me work 4 hours overtime, and b-body shamed me, saying i n-needed to eat less. People from my school came in and basically bullied me and 'quietly' made fun of me, so I quit. Then I came home to see a battlefield in the kitchen, and it tipped me over the edge." After I finished speaking, I had some tears running down my face, which Nick wiped away.

"Ah, sis, we're sorry, we were gonna clean it, but you know us, we're fucking lazy. Don't listen to these people, half of them have their heads up their asses. You're perfect the way you are, and if they can't see that, then they're blind." Nick said as we all laughed a bit.

"Come on, let's watch a movie and eat shit tons of food." Chris said, before he pulled me over his shoulder, making his way into the living room. "CHRIS PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed, and then he did, he dropped me onto the sofa, as I laughed and caught my breath. Chris sat next to me and Matt and Nick dropped loads of snacks on the table.

"Let's feast like fucking royalty!" Nick said, pressing play onto a random film, as him and Matt collapsed next to me and Chris on the sofa.
