TW~Stalker and mention of a car crash.
Y/N's POV
It was a warm Saturday evening, and I was feeling excited and nervous at the same time. Today was the day I would finally learn how to drive, with the help of my boyfriend Matt Sturniolo and his family. Matt had invited me to join them at an empty parking lot, where his mom Mary Lou and his brothers Nick and Chris would be teaching us how to drive.
As I got ready and headed out the door, my heart was racing with anticipation. I had never driven a car before, and the thought of being behind the wheel made me feel a bit anxious. But I knew that Matt would be there to guide me every step of the way, and that thought comforted me.
Nick's driving was a bit bumpy at first, but he seemed to be getting the hang of it. Chris, on the other hand, drove smoothly and confidently, impressing everyone with his skills.
Finally, it was my turn to get behind the wheel. Matt sat in the passenger seat next to me, I looked nervously at the empty parking lot in front of me, my hands gripping the steering wheel tightly. Beside me, Matt smiled reassuringly, his hand resting on my knee.
"Hey there, bub, you've got this," he said softly. "Just remember what I've told you, okay?"
I nodded, taking a deep breath as I shifted the car into drive. Matt's mom, Mary Lou, sat in the backseat with his brothers, Nick and Chris, as they watched us with encouraging smiles.
I felt the weight of my fear pressing down on me, the memory of my friend's car crash still fresh in my mind. But with Matt by my side, I knew I could do this.
I slowly guided the car forward, my heart racing as I kept my eyes on the road ahead. Matt kept his hand on my knee, as he pointed out what I needed to do, his voice was a steady presence beside me, offering guidance and support every step of the way.
"Good job, bub," he murmured, his hand squeezing mine gently. "You're doing great."
I felt a surge of confidence as I continued to drive around the parking lot, following Matt's instructions with precision. The fear that had gripped me moments before began to fade away, replaced by a sense of accomplishment.
But as I made another loop around the lot, my eyes caught sight of something that made my blood run cold. There was another car parked off to the side, its windows tinted darkly. And inside, a man was sitting there, watching us intently.
His gaze felt unsettling, almost like he was studying us. I felt a shiver run down my spine.
"Matt, someone is watching us," I whispered nervously, clutching the steering wheel tightly. Matt glanced in the direction I was pointing and furrowed his brow.
"That's weird. Here, pull over a sec, let's switch seats," he said calmly. We quickly switched places, with Matt taking the wheel and driving us back home.
Eventually, we made it home, as Chris ran up to shower, and Nick and Mary Lou went to the kitchen to get a snack. "That was a rollecoaster," he said, giving me a reassuring smile. "You did great back there, bubs. I'm proud of you. I knew you could do it."
I leaned into him, feeling the warmth of his embrace surrounding me. In that moment, all of my fears and worries melted away, replaced by a deep sense of love and gratitude for the man who had stood by me through it all.
I smiled up at him, feeling a surge of warmth in my heart. "I couldn't have done it without you, Matt. Thank you for believing in me."
We went upstairs to our room, and I quickly got changed into some shorts, and Matt's oversized shirt, whilst he used the bathroom. I sat on my bed and plugged my phone on charge, as he emerged from the bathroom.
He joined me on the bed, and he picked me up and layed me on top of him, making me gasp from the shock. I got comfortable, with my head on his chest, and his head in the crook of my neck. The beating of his heart lulling me to sleep.
"Goodnight baby, I love you." I said sleepily as he kissed my forehead.
"Night bubs, I love you too." He replied, my eyes getting heavier, urging me to close them and give into sleep.
I closed my eyes, feeling the steady rhythm of Matt's heartbeat beneath my ear, as I drifted off to sleep in his arms.
