Y/N's POV

I was sitting in the back seat of Matt's car, filming a car video with him, Matt and Chris. As their best friend, I was always by their side, supporting them in everything they did. And today, that meant tagging along with them to create new content for their YouTube channel.

I was excited and all, but the truth was, I was exhausted. Coming back from my trip to Australia had really taken a toll on me, and I could feel my eyelids getting heavier with each passing minute. I leaned my head against Nick's shoulder, hoping to catch a few moments of rest while he drove.

As the camera started rolling, I leaned back in the backseat of the car, feeling the exhaustion from the long flight back from Australia sinking in. Nick noticed my tiredness and immediately wrapped his arm around me, rubbing my back soothingly.

"You okay there, sleepyhead?" Nick whispered, his voice filled with concern.

I sighed, leaning my head against his shoulder, feeling comforted by his presence. "Yeah, just jet-lagged, but I'll be fine." I nodded, stifling a yawn. "I feel like a zombie right now. Sorry if I'm not very helpful today."

Matt, the one behind the wheel, glanced at us through the rearview mirror. "You sure you're okay, Y/N? We can cut the filming short if you need some rest."

I shook my head, forcing a smile. "No, it's fine. Let's finish this video."

Chris, who was eating fries in the passenger seat, glanced back at us with a smirk. "Looks like someone can't handle the jet lag," he chuckled.

"Turn around passenger princess." Nick said calmly as me and Matt burst out laughing, whilst Chris whined and continued to eat his fries.

I could feel Nick's fingers gently rubbing my back, soothing me as I drifted further into dreamland. The rumble of the car's engine beneath us was like a lullaby, lulling me into a peaceful slumber.

I don't know how long I had been asleep, but the next thing I knew, I felt Nick gently nudging me awake. I opened my eyes groggily, blinking up at him in confusion. "Hey, we're home," he whispered, his eyes filled with concern.

I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes as I tried to shake off the last remnants of sleep. "Thanks, Nick," I muttered, my voice hoarse from exhaustion. He flashed me a smile, his dimples deepening as he helped me out of the car. Matt and Chris already went inside to put the filming equipment away, and go to bed early as filming was quite draining today.

As me and Nick walked into the house, I could feel the weight of the long flight and the time difference hitting me all at once. Nick must have noticed how drained I was because he scooped me up into a piggyback style, his arms wrapping around my thighs without a word, carrying me towards my room.

I couldn't help but blush at the intimate gesture, feeling a mix of embarrassment and gratitude. "Nick, you really don't have to do this. I can walk on my own."

But he just shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "Nah, I got you. You're my best friend, remember? I take care of you, it was in the policy."

I buried my face in his neck, inhaling his familiar scent of cologne and sweat. "You're the best, Nick," I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper. He chuckled softly, as we continued the journey to my bedroom.

And just like that, he gently laid me down on his bed, tucking the blankets around me like I was a child.

"Get some rest, okay?" he said softly, his hand lingering on my cheek. I nodded, feeling a wave of gratitude wash over me. "Thanks, Nick. You're always there for me," I said, my voice filled with emotion.

He smiled down at me, the corners of his eyes crinkling in that way that always made my heart skip a beat. "Always, Y/N. Sweet dreams," he whispered before pressing a gentle kiss to my forehead, then leaving to go to his room, probably to sleep too.
