Imagine #56- Anniversary Scavengerhunt

Rachael's P.O.V.

I was just getting home from work. It was about 5 and I was really excited to see Matt, my boyfriend.

Today was our 2 year anniversary and I knew he would make it special.

I drove up the driveway over our place and unlocked the door. I hung the keys on the rack and saw a note on the kitchen countertop.

"Today is our anniversary, a very special day. So now there's a special game we are going to play. I left clues for you, I hope you find me soon."

I smiled and saw a note saying.

"Clue #1: It is near some flowers and has been waiting there for hours."

I immediately ran out to the back towards the garden we have.

I looked around and saw that on the bench was a bouquet of beautiful flowers. It had assorted colors of roses and tulips. It was rainbow and I loved it.

I picked up the red rose and saw there was a note crumpled between some of it's petals.

I took it out carefully and it said.

"Clue #2: Your curly brow hair flows for days and here it may be all the rave."

I was a little confused and went inside to read it again. Suddenly, it hit me! I needed to go to my hair salon and there would be another clue here.

I jumped in my car and drove the ten minutes to my salon.

I walked in the door and the owner, Kendall smiled at me.

"Perfect timing now you can get your hair done! You know your boyfriend is so cute! Come sit here darling."

She had a thick New Jersey accent even though we were in a completely different state.

She put the cloth around me and started shampooing.

I took about an hour but she trimmed my ends and my hair looked awesome.

I tried to take out but she said it had already been paid for.

She gave me a piece of paper and it had the next clue.

"Clue #3: This is where I knew we were meant to be; so here Rachael you might find me."

I smiled and thought for a few seconds. It suddenly popped into my head.

I ran out to my car and drove as fast as I could to get there. I got there about 20 minutes later.

Matt asked me out when we were at this special place with a waterfall.

I dashed to the top so that I looked down at the waterfall and couldn't see Matt anywhere.

I looked up and saw a piece of paper taped to a leaf above me.

"Clue 4: I thought of this one on my way out the door. Everyone here plays a bunch of sports and we would sit here and talk in our shorts. This place also have your favorite swings and here was the start of our thing."

I would have had no clue without the swing part. I sat for ten minutes at the waterfall and slowly got back to the car.

I was hoping I would finally see Matt. It was already 7. The sun was going to be setting soon so I drove 14 minutes.

I drove by and saw a blue thing on the park sign.

I reversed and took it off. I opened it up and smiled.

"Clue #5: To finally see me you have to go to this certain place we pretend anything we wanted to be. I'm off the ground but I don't make a lot of sound. "
I teared up a little bit and starting running over the makeshift wooden bridge. I kept running into the woods and finally found it.

I walked up the ladder and opened the door.

Matt was up there and I closed the door to our childhood treehouse.

"You found me babe." He said and he walked over to me.

He grabbed my face and slammed his lips into mine.

I missed kissing him right when I got home. We were kissing for an insane period of time before we stopped.

"Rachael I have one more surprise for you."

He took my hand and we got down from the treehouse.

Matt put a blindfold over my eyes as started guiding me somewhere.

We finally made it and he stopped me after we walked for a long time.

Matt took the blindfold off and I was amazed.

There was a white tent that went over a table with candles and my favorite food Mac and Cheese.

There were lights lining the tent and the trees around us as well.

We sat down and started eating.

"Matt you are so amazing for doing this."

He smiled and blushed.

"Rachael I love you. It's our two year anniversary and I want it to be so special. I wanted to show you how everyday is special with you. Thank you for supporting me and always being so amazing."

I kissed him across the table and his friends came by to clean it all up.

We spent the night at our place re-living all of our memories since the beginning.
