Imagine #14-Food Fight

Matthew's P.O.V.

"Food Fight!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. She grabbed a handful of the mashed potatoes and smeared it into my face. I wiped it off and poured corn all over her head. Everyone started to break out and the whole cafeteria was being covered in the lunch food. Lettuce and vegetables was flying from salads or sandwiches. Green beans and mashed potatoes were soaring onto the tables and walls.

She started this whole mess and she loved it. Everything was rocketing over the large room and after 20 minutes a huge whistle blew and the principal was standing at the front of the room.

Meredith's P.O.V.

We were standing in the middle of the cafeteria and most people were looking. Me and Matt were fighting again.

"Can you please stop being such a jerk for once Matthew?" I screamed at him.

"I'm not being a jerk you are being a paranoid bitch. I am just being a friendly person, nothing is wrong with that!" He yelled staring at me straight in the eyes.

"These girls are flirting with you constantly and you act like you have no idea of any possibly girlfriend! One of them is going to kiss you or something and take it too far, then you'll realize how you were acting! You know one girl started to lean in for a kiss but luckily you saw they got the wrong message. Maybe you should start doing that sooner so they don't even try to do that." I shouted back in complete fury.

"I'm sorry that I am attractive to girls but I am not going to stop talking to all these girls if you can still go around hugging guys and taking the compliments they give you! You don't even see the way they basically eye-rape you as you walk down the hall. I don't really care because I know you are mine, why can't you feel the same way back Meredith?"

"I didn't notice that Matt, I'm really sorry. Now come here." I said to him.

He walked over and I gave him a bear hug. After I looked up and I kissed him. People started to clap and I still had some anger so I grabbed some mashed potatoes from the plate behind me.

"Food fight!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I smashed the mashed potatoes into his face before he poured corn all over my head.

Other kids started to join into the mess and food was flying everywhere. People were covered in all different kind of foods and the walls looked like we made a food splatterpaint pattern. Everyone was laughing and having a blast. 20 minutes into it, a huge whistle blew and the principal was in the front of the room.

"First off, you will all go home and clean up. School is out early today and thank god it's a Friday! But, know you all need to tell me who started this mess." He yelled into a microphone.

Everyone looked at us and pointed.

"Oh so it was our friends Meredith Johson and Matthew Espinosa?" He asked everyone.

They shook their heads and said to us "Both of you in my office now!"

We looked at each other and partially laughed. We both really didn't need another bad thing on our record but usually we got into trouble together so it was not that bad, I guess.

"Now who's stupid idea was it to do this?" The principal angrily said.

"It was mine. I was still kind of mad at him so I just threw some potatoes into his face." I basically whispered.

"Oh, were you two having some relationship problems. Well, boo hoo. Ever since this thing started both of you had been a lot better . Mr.Espinosa was a little mischievous, but you Meredith had no record! I don't approve of this if it's going to cause so many problems!" He rudely stated.

"EXCUSE ME! How dare you put a negative down look on our relationship! Matthew has made me a lot better! He helped with my anxiety and with my social limits and a lot of problems! Without him I probably would not show up to school and probably not even be here!!! So how dare you say that because you clearly knew nothing about my personal life." I shouted at the principal.

"I'm sorry, Mrs.Johnson for making assumptions but both of you have detention today and will have to clean up the while cafeteria by yourselves." He informed us.

I was still pissed at him but I just slammed the door behind me.

"Matt, why do you let him talk to you like that? He's such an asshole and knows nothing about.."

With that Matt interrupted my sentence and pushed me up against the lockers. He kissed with all his might and I kissed back. We shortly stopped and went to the janitor to get the tools to clean it up.

It was everywhere so we were in for some work. We jokingly got our way through the first half and the other side was triple the mess.

While I was cleaning the windows Matt picked me up and showered me with kisses. We had a really good time and cleaned to some music also. By about five hours later we were done and our detention was held after that.

The teacher really liked both of us so he let us go early and we drove back home.

Even though it was stressful to get screamed at and clean the whole mess, I would do it again for Matt. I loved him so much and we enjoyed the rest of the day by playing in my sprinkler.
