Karin's P.O.V.

I cannot explain how I met Matt Espinosa. But I can try to start from the beginning and decipher it all for you.

3 Months Ago...

I was starting college, carrying boxes with my best friends. We had decided to go into Peppetia, a school on the West Coast in California. I was talking with my best friend and while walking, I banged straight into someone. I dropped my boxes and some of my stuff fell out.

I said "Sorry, I can't see over anything, seeing I have to transport my whole house in these boxes."

He laughed at me and put some of my pictures/school materials into the boxes.

"It's alright, I'm Matt by the way. It's nice to meet you." The boy put out his hand and I looked up.

He was gorgeous. No wonder they said the people at this school were good looking.

I shook his hand and was lost in his voice for a second.

My best friend, Alexa, laughed at me and tapped my shoulder.

"He asked your name. If you were not getting so lost is his good looks, maybe you could tell him."

"I'm sorry, I am Karin. It is nice to meet you Matt. Hopefully, we can hang out or see each other again." I said.

Matt agreed and we went along our way. Alexa and I, decorated our room and played some freshman games. I really wanted to see Matt again. I didn't like him, it was too soon to judge that but he seems like a great friend.

1 1/2 months later

It was around Halloween and honestly I had not been able to think of Matt much. I had seen him around and talked for a bit but with college going on it was difficult to focus on other things. I had a job, studying, classes, and one club.

Tonight was a party and it was one of the first I was going to. I dressed up in an old costume and so did Alexa.

Alexa and I, drove about 20 minutes from campus and got up to the door. We knocked and a guy from my Calculus II class, let us in. I walked and felt a little insecure.

All the girls here were beautiful! They all had great bodies and nice tans, gorgeous smiles. I was so jealous.

My brown hair and eyes stood out against the bright colors of the costume.

I had a little make-up so my eyes really popped too. I was really nervous. None of my friends were huge partiers besides a few and I didn't find them yet.

My friends all knew I was shy in public but once you got to know me I was a lot goofier and louder and crazy.

I grabbed a drink and chugged it fast. I was a little tipsy but nothing more than that. I was walking through and I started to dance. I could really feel the beat to this song.

I was swaying my hips and someone grabbed me from behind. Their hands were guiding my hips and I was getting annoyed. I was trying to remove their hands but it wasn't working. I felt someone else grab me and we started to walk away.

"Don't touch her like that when she doesn't want it. " A low voice said to the guy.

It wasn't Alexa my superhero sidekick, it was Matt.

Matt! I hadn't seen him in forever!

"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much Matt!" I hugged him after saying that.

I was really excited to see him, he seemed like a great guy.

"Hey Karin, I saw you were trying to remove that douche bag, so I thought I should probably help." He said back to me.

I partially blushed because Matt was being so sweet.

I looked back up and Matt looked really hot. He was wearing a police officer outfit and had the whole belt with the fake gun, walkie-talkie, etc.

The top was tight on him so it showed off his toned torso. I could tell he was stronger than last time and it seemed like he might have started to get abs.

I was almost drooling over him but I snapped out of it and asked him if he wanted to go dance.

He grabbed my hands and I took that as a yes. We walked into the living room and everyone was dancing! Matt and I joined the dance floored and just talked all night long to catch up.

We talked about our classes, the beach, our roommates, our teachers, the already embarrassing moments, and everything that's happened since we got to Peppetia.

I told Matt the story how the boy's showers were not working on the next floor so one of them came down. I walked in with my towel and his towel was tied around his hips. It was so awkward because as I walked to the shower his towel fell completely off.

I could see everything, so I immediately covered my eyes and went into a open stall.

He left really fast and I felt awful about the whole thing.

Matt was almost on the floor laughing because he knows exactly how it feels for that to happen to him apparently.

I grabbed one more drink and Matt offered to drive me back to campus. I agreed and we walked out into the front lawn. It was colder than when I came.

Matt looked over at me and huddle against me for a few seconds. He was extremely warm. He rubbed my back and let go a few seconds later. I wasn't nearly as cold any more. He was like a personal heater.

"Dang Matt you are so hot. I mean like hot in body temperature, you are hot but I didn't mean like... I'm just gonna stop talking now."

I was definitely shy in public and that conversation did not make it any better.

"It's okay Karin. It was hot in there so I thought I should just make you less cold. And I know I'm a pretty sexy police officer."

"So Matt, do you like any of the gorgeous girls on campus?" I asked him jokingly.

"There are so many beautiful girls but I don't really like how they had to show everything tonight. I honestly liked your costume the best. I mean it wasn't showing too much, it showed enough. I hope you know you are beautiful and you have a great body."

Matt was such a sweetheart. I know he wasn't flirting, he was just being a nice confidence booster.

We got into his car and drove back to the campus. He walked in front of my building and I hugged him. We transferred numbers and planned to hang out at this little coffee shop.

He kissed me on cheek, as a friendly thing and I said goodnight. I changed into pjs, took off my make-up, and went to bed.

Me and Matt started to talk a lot more. We bumped into each other so much and I made a lot of new friends because of him. We got closer really fast and I didn't know if it would ever lead to anything.

If something did in the future I wouldn't mind but I really do love being Matt's friend. I know he's going to special in my life for a long time and that makes me really happy.
