Part 65

The day had finally arrived, the culmination of weeks of preparation and anticipation. It was the wedding day of Darsh and Kanishka, a day that promised to be filled with love, joy, and the union of two souls meant to be together.

Kanishka was in her room, surrounded by her closest friends and family, as they helped her get ready. She wore a stunning red lehenga, intricately embroidered with gold threads, and adorned with delicate jewelry that sparkled as brightly as her eyes. As she looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions. Today, she was going to marry Darsh again, this time with all the love and memories they had built together.

Sweta, her sister, adjusted Kanishka's dupatta. "You look absolutely breathtaking, Kanishka. Darsh is going to be speechless when he sees you."

Kanishka blushed, her excitement and nerves mingling. "I hope so. I'm so nervous, Sweta."

Sweta smiled reassuringly. "Don't be. This is your day. Enjoy every moment of it."

In a different room, Darsh was getting ready with the help of his friends. He wore a faded golden sherwani that complemented Kanishka's lehenga perfectly. His heart raced as he thought about seeing Kanishka in her bridal attire.

Rishabh, his best friend, patted him on the back. "You look dashing, bro. Kanishka is one lucky woman."

Darsh smiled, his thoughts solely on Kanishka. "I'm the lucky one, Rishabh."

As the time for the varmala ceremony approached, the venue buzzed with excitement. The stage was beautifully decorated with flowers and lights, creating a magical ambiance. The guests eagerly awaited the arrival of the bride and groom.

Darsh stood on the stage, his heart pounding in anticipation. He couldn't wait to see Kanishka. The music started, and the crowd turned their attention to the entrance. Kanishka appeared, looking like a vision in red, and began to dance gracefully to the song "Duniya Saari Chhodke Chaliyaa."

Darsh watched her, tears welling up in his eyes. Kanishka was more beautiful than he had ever imagined, and the love he felt for her overwhelmed him. As she danced closer, their eyes met, and in that moment, everything else faded away.

When Kanishka reached the stage, she smiled at Darsh, her own eyes glistening with tears. "Ready for round two?" she teased softly.

Darsh nodded, his voice choked with emotion. "Always."

They exchanged garlands, their friends and family cheering them on. The moment was filled with laughter and joy, a testament to the love that had brought them together.

As the varmala ceremony concluded, it was time for the pheras. The pundit began to recite the seven promises, each one a sacred vow that Kanishka and Darsh would take together.

"With this first promise, we vow to respect and support each other," the pundit said.

Kanishka and Darsh looked at each other, their hearts full of love. "I promise," they said in unison.

The second promise was about sharing responsibilities and building a harmonious home. "We promise to always be there for each other, in good times and bad."

"I promise," they repeated, their hands clasped tightly.

The third promise was about love and fidelity. "We promise to remain faithful to each other."

"I promise."

As they continued with the remaining promises, the bond between them grew stronger. Each vow was a reaffirmation of their love and commitment.

When the pheras were complete, the pundit blessed them. "You are now husband and wife. May your lives be filled with happiness and prosperity."

Their families rejoiced, showering them with blessings and flower petals. Mr. and Mrs. Rao hugged each other, tears of joy streaming down their faces.

"We are so proud of you, Kanishka," Mr. Rao said, his voice thick with emotion. "You've grown into a beautiful, strong woman."

Mrs. Rao added, "And Darsh, welcome to our family. We couldn't have asked for a better son-in-law."

Mr. Singhal clapped Darsh on the back. "Take good care of our daughter, son."

Darsh nodded, his heart full. "I will, sir. Always."

Priya hugged Kanishka tightly. "I'm so happy for you, Kanishka. You deserve all the happiness in the world."

Sweta wiped away her tears. "This is the best day ever. I'm so glad to see you both so happy."

Even Ayan, despite his own lingering feelings, offered his congratulations. "I wish you both all the best."

Somya, trying to hide her jealousy, managed a smile. "Congratulations, Darsh. I hope you and Kanishka have a wonderful life together."

As the celebrations continued, Darsh and Kanishka felt an overwhelming sense of love and support from their families and friends. It was a day they would cherish forever.

Later that night, after the festivities had wound down, Darsh and Kanishka finally had a moment to themselves. They sat on their bed, still in their wedding attire, and reflected on the day's events.

"Can you believe we're married again?" Darsh asked, his eyes twinkling with happiness.

Kanishka smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "It's like a dream. A wonderful, perfect dream."

Darsh kissed her forehead. "I love you so much, Kanishka."

"I love you too, Darsh."

They sat in comfortable silence for a while, simply enjoying each other's presence. Darsh broke the silence with a playful grin.

"So, what do you think about our 'suhagrat'?"

Kanishka blushed, playfully swatting his arm. "You're incorrigible, you know that?"

Darsh laughed, pulling her close. "I can't help it. You make me so happy."

Kanishka looked up at him, her eyes filled with love. "And you make me happy, Darsh. More than I ever thought possible."

They shared a tender kiss, the start of a new chapter in their lives. A chapter filled with love, joy, and the promise of a beautiful future together.
