Aella's phone call earlier tangled a mess of emotions stirring within me because I know, someone overheard my phone conversation with her. As I scanned the picturesque surroundings earlier I saw Hadassha, a sense of unease lingered, a reminder that secrets are never truly kept in the dark.
Besides, I did it on purpose tss.
Determined to clear my thoughts, I left the confines of the hideout behind. The cool afternoon air greeted me as I made my way to the parking lot. With a subconscious reach for my key, fate intervened, placing a delicate bracelet in my hand, its engraved name a silent plea for remembrance of someone.
The name on the bracelet sparked a flicker of recognition in my eyes, a fleeting connection to an unexpected encounte. Pushing the memory aside, I tucked the bracelet back into my pocket, burying the remnants of that day. With purpose etched in my gaze, I mounted my motorcycle and the engine roaring to life beneath me.
The road stretched out before me, leading me to the sanctuary of my chosen haven. I found solace in the sanctuary of my favorite tree. As I settled on the gentle slope of the hill, my eyes caught sight of a figure I recognized instantly - the girl from the road, the one I inadvertently caused trouble for. Memories flooded back as I recalled breaking her laptop and keeping her bracelet in a moment of haste.
It was her - fate had woven into my path.
Intrigued, I approached her, noticing her peaceful slumber with a book lying nearby. A smirk played upon my lips as I watched her, a rare moment of gentleness coloring my features. Her slumber was peaceful with a book by her side. I was drawn to her innocence, captivated by her beauty, I found myself drawn closer.
Just as I contemplated reaching for the book, her eyes fluttered open, meeting my gaze with a mix of surprise and apprehension.
Startled by my unexpected presence, she sprung to her feet, confronting me with a mixture of curiosity and accusation. Pft, is she angry?
“S-sino ka? Bakit ganyan ka kung makatingin ha?! Are you planning something? Subukan mo lumapit, nag aral ako ng self defense.” she demanded, almost shouting. Self defense? Pft.
I remained silent, my expression unreadable as our eyes locked in a silent exchange. And after a tense pause, finally recognition dawned on her.
“Ikaw? You’re that guy who bumped into me, broke my laptop, and ruined my entire presentation that day. Oo ikaw nga yun! Anong ginagawa mo dito ha? Sinusundan mo ako noh? Anong binabalak mo ha?" she began, her voice trailing off as I remained stoic, unmoved by her outburst.
Ang ingay tss.
"This is my safe haven. Dream on, you're not even my type." I told her straightforwardly.
She rolled her eyes upon hearing what I've said. I ignore her and sat down under the tree and leaned back, closing my eyes as if the world around me didn't matter.
