" Tell me more about your feelings for your mother Doris," Lynn said as her shrewd dark eyes examined the tense pallid face of her client as he sat in his chair with his hands suddenly gripping his armrests tightly.

Spencer said through gritted teeth," I don't like to discuss that woman. She tried to have my husband killed and she used me as an excuse. Because DuBuis didn't want me to have an operation to remove a bullet he said would kill me if removed. He is a doctor. I trust his judgement in everything in life. I trust him with my life. Why didn't she? " He punched the armrest once. " She does not love me. She didn't do it out of love. She never loved me. She considers me her property. Her intelligent property. She put a wedge between me and my siblings growing up. She made Lorraine hate me. I thought Richard hated me too but now I am not sure. Of course she has turned against him too. " She tells me I'm not really smart. She tells me nobody can ever love me like she does. That DuBuis will leave me for another man who can actually have sexual relations.
