During training the next morning, I finished the warm ups and sat in the grass as I normally did. However, Commander Landon told me to stand up, so I struggled to my feet.

"Do you have an idea of what kind of weapon you'd like to learn to use?" he asked me.

I blinked in surprise, then shook my head no.

"No sir, I haven't given it much thought yet."

"You don't have to decide today, but for now, try to get a feel for all the different types of weapons you can practice," he replied, pointing towards the armory. "Your brothers should be able to help you find weapons you can actually use."

I nodded and thanked him for the advice, then walked into the armory.

Most of the weapons were already taken out and being used by the other knights, but my brothers stood in the corner, debating with each other.

"A dagger is most practical, she wouldn't be able to lift anything heavier than that," Isaac said.

"Using a sword will help her train her strength though! She needs to get stronger, a sword will help with that," Lionel argued.

"Bow and arrows are more fun though..." Rex tried to butt in, but the other two kept talking over him.

"Hello, you three," I waved at them, and looked at the wooden weapons they were holding.

"Corvalia! You think swords are cool right? You should take this," Lionel said, shoving the wooden sword into my hands.

"Thanks, but I'm gonna try out all of the different weapons first before deciding which one I'll specialize in."

"That's smart," Rex nodded.

"If that's the case, then you should try out the dagger first, since it's lighter and easier to hold," Isaac snatched the sword out of my hands and replaced it with a wooden dagger.

I sighed in exasperation. "Alright, but I'm gonna be trying everything out today. Can you guys show me how to use the weapons?"

"I'll help you!" Lionel volunteered, before grabbing my hand and dragging me out of the armory.
