Birthday

POV Annabeth

I was sitting alone in central park waiting when I heard a familiar voice.

"Anni!" shouted Thalia Grace from behind me.

"Thalia?" I said, confused. I had been told by my boyfriend to wait here until something happened then, to leave. He had said I would know what to do.

"Annabeth, I was looking all over for you. I need to take you somewhere." I was still confused but got up from my seat and followed the girl that had become a sister and mother figure for me over the years.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

"To Percys." What was I expecting? They just wanted to get me out of the house for a little while and now I was going back, I just couldn't figure out why.

I was still running through the possibilities of what this was for when we finally reached Percy's apartment.

Before Thalia had time to do anything I opened the door like I had so many times before.

I was met with a chorus of, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNABETH!!!!"

I stood there shocked looking around the room. All of my friends and family (for the most part) were there Piper, Hazel, Reyna, Percy, Grover, Will, Nico, the majority of the Athena cabin somehow, and even Magunus as well as some other people very dear to my heart. The thing that shocked me the most however was the fact that I forgot that today was my birthday. It was around the anniversary of so many horrible things I tried and apparently succeeded in blocking the date out of my mind.

I made my way around the room thanking people for coming. I shared a long hug with Magnus and asked him about life.

He then burst into laughter and I realized my mistake.

"Sorry, sorry. I just-"

"It's fine," he cut me off trying to stifle his laughter.

As I continued to walk around the room I was bombarded with gifts from all directions. Some earrings from Piper, a magic plate from Grover, and many other things. I couldn't keep the smile off my face.

After the party was over I thought about how good that day was and what I had learned about myself.

So, because I feel like I did not write a lot I have decided to give you Annabeth trivia and stuff because it is her birthday.

If you ever wonder why Annabeth had her dagger after Tartarus it is because in The Staff of Serapis she touches Sadi's wand and it turns into a dagger.

She had her seventeenth(I think) birthday in Tartarus.

She is the only female demigod to have survived the pit.

She went blind for a bit.
