The news of Antonin Dolohov's capture spread rapidly throughout the castle and magical Britain. The pack received praise from their classmates, professors, and the Daily Prophet. A few days after the incident, the pack spoke to Aurors Tonks and Shacklebolt and were each rewarded with 2,000 galleons for capturing the escaped convict. After Granger was taken to the hospital wing, Madam Pomfrey requested assistance from St. Mungo's healers, as the curse was beyond her ability to detect and heal. Granger remained in a magical coma, but Adelade knew from the last time Granger had been hit with the identical curse that she'd be up, healed and being Dumbledore's puppet before they knew it.

Adelaide was currently lying on the couch in the Slytherin common room, a fluffy blanket wrapped around her to protect her from the cold. She was so focused on the grimoire in her hand that she hadn't noticed the two figures approaching, nor did she acknowledge them as they stood before her with all the courage they could muster. It wasn't until Adrian Pucey cleared his throat that Adelaide pulled her attention away from the words, raising her eyebrow the moment she noticed the nerves in the older wizard's eyes.

"Can I help you?"

"We want to join you" Marcus' words were rushed and louder than expected, making him cringe a little as he looked around, hoping he hadn't gained unwanted attention.

"Sit down then, you don't need to ask" She laughed lightly as she gestured towards the couches, only to frown as the pair remained frozen in place. "You don't want to sit down?"

"Give me a moment" Adrian mumbled before grabbing his wand and giving it a wave, making Adelaide's interest peak as she felt the privacy bubble surround them. She sat up and placed her book to the side, giving the pair her full attention as it was now clear that whatever was to be discussed was something serious.

"Talk to me, darling serpents" She grinned as she watched their cheeks become pink, and she couldn't help but find it both adorable and amusing how easily people seem to blush at the simplest of things.

Marcus took a seat on the couch opposite hers and decided to speak up first. "Do you remember at the puffs party, when we asked to join you?-" Recognition flashed through her eyes and she sat up straighter, nodding her head with a neutral expression.

"We want to join you, Lady Potter. So... I, Heir Adrian Pucey of the noble and most Ancient house of Pucey, do swear on my life and magic, my loyalty to Lady Potter and the marauder's pack. So mote it be" Adelaide sat, her mouth ajar as she tried to work out how she was feeling exactly. She was grateful but also concerned since he had put his life and magic on the line simply to swear his loyalty to her and the pack.

Before Adelaide could speak a word, Marcus swore the same vow and the pair kneeled before her in unison, making her cringe.

"Please, don't bow or kneel. I appreciate the vow you made but I wish you didn't swear on your life or magic, that's dangerous" The two older Slytherins smiled softly and took her hands, remaining to kneel in front of her.

"It's only dangerous if we're planning on being disloyal to you and the pack, and since we aren't... it's perfectly fine" She nibbled on her bottom lip, feeling a conflict of emotions swirling inside her stomach and she found herself unable to form any words to express just what she was feeling. Instead, Adelaide reached out and pulled them both into a hug, the two older wizards chuckling as they responded with hugs of their own.

Pulling back, Adelaide smiled brightly, placing a hand behind their necks and spoke softly "Well, I accept the vow of loyalty from you both" A wave of magic flowed through her and rushed towards her hands, jumping back when Marcus and Adrian hiss ever so slightly, their hands shooting to the back of their necks immediately.
