I made a little mistake in the last chapter. Remus was not in the mirror with Sirius and Regulus, he's at Hogwarts 🤣🤦🏽♀️ Silly me.
Adelaide woke up the next morning, a groan leaving her lips from the pounding in her head. She knew it was due to the drinking the night before, having been the first time in this life that she had gotten drunk and her body was yet to get used to it.
"Fucking hell..." She blinked and turned her head, smiling a little at Ron lying beside her, his red hair messy and wild. Ron threw his arm over his eyes, letting out a small whine before rolling over and burying his face in the crook of Adelaide's neck.
"Headache?" She questioned only to receive a nod as he wrapped his arm over her stomach, pulling her closer.
"Ugh" another voice was heard from the other side of Adelaide, making her jump slightly in surprise before glancing over. There laid Blaise, looking a little more lively than Adelaide and Ron but still exhausted due to the late night they all had.
"Where are we?" Neville groaned from his place on the floor between two beds, surprisingly laid in the middle of Daphne and Tracy who remained fast asleep.
"Serpent's dorm"
"How did we even get here?" Adelaide asked as she pulled away from Ron and Blaise, raising herself to lean against the headboard. She let out an amused huff as both wizards shuffled closer and buried their faces into her stomach.
"That would be thanks to us" Heads turned to the dorm door, where Adrian, Marcus and Terence Higgs stood with grins on their faces.
The older Slytherins had helped the group of third-years after the Hufflepuff party, all being different levels of intoxication. At first, they were planning on escorting the group to Adelaide's quarters but the young Alpha had already fallen asleep on Marcus' back and the others were too intoxicated to remember the whereabouts. The older trio then decided to bring them to the Slytherin dorms, where they all quickly settled down and fell into a deep sleep.
"Come on, up you get," Marcus said loudly, waking the remaining pack up from their slumber and earning painful hisses from the rest, the loud noise making their already pounding head, aches.
"Get lost, Flint," Draco hissed as he threw his pillow in the direction of the door, though it did not make it even halfway across the room. Adrian and Marcus scoffed in amusement, while Terence looked around at the group with curiosity. He had seen how the group that calls themselves the Marauders or a pack interacted with one another, but he had never seen people feel so comfortable around each other that snuggling and sleeping beside one another became as natural as breathing.
"Breakfast, now!"
The pack spent the rest of the day indoors in Adelaide's quarters, the elves providing them with meals and hot drinks as the weather decreased significantly. Monday soon came and their first lesson of the day was Defence against the Dark Arts.
"If Snape is teaching Defence against the Dark Arts again, I'm skiving off-" Ron said as they headed off to the classroom. "Check who's in there, Theo"
"Check yourself, Red" Theo responded in a bored tone, his attention mostly on Adelaide and Enzo who were debating on whether or not she should get a nose piercing.
"I'll check" Draco huffed and peered around the classroom door, waving happily at the werewolf who had overheard their conversation due to his enhanced hearing. "It's okay!"
As everyone arrived and settled down, it was pretty clear that the professor most certainly had been ill. His robes were hanging more loosely on him and there were dark shadows beneath his eyes; nevertheless, he smiled at the class as they took their seats. They all burst at once into an explosion of complaints about Snape's behaviour while the professor had been sick.
