ENZO

"Alora!" Max shouted as soon as we entered the mansion. "Where have you been?"

Since we found her till the end of the road where we were supposed to meet each other after parting ways to follow Luciano and the officer; I sensed something different with her.

Apparently, Tim and I came to meet at the same point because Luciano stopped the officer and talked something with him.

Therefore, Alora must have been watching after the bodyguard as he remained alone beside the other two. So I assumed that something must have happened during that time. But I haven't been able to question it till now.

Seeing Max's face alone, it was obvious that they must have a lot of questions to ask us. As the two of us left the hospital in the morning without informing anyone and coming back at night.

She held onto me while passing a warm smile at the guy who seemed like he was waiting for her this whole time.

Max reached us in two big steps and gave a hug to her in a brotherly manner. He too had been tense about her health along with the others. And me.

"You have no idea how stressed I was when I didn't find you in the hospital." He complained in one breath. "We were supposed to bring you back home."

"I am so sorry, Max. I needed to complete some work." She gave him an innocent look, but it was genuine.

Max seemed to not mind the fact anymore that she did make him stressed by disappearing from the hospital like that.

He chuckled, "Look at you talking exactly like your partner." Then continued to pat her head.

Alora smiled again. This time she didn't deny his words. I am happy that she is all mine now. And I am all hers. Every part of me belonged to her and her only.

"Stella?" Alora whispered.

As I followed her gaze, my eyes spotted both Carlo and Stella along with joyful Rome and Galen rushing towards us.

Stella came and didn't waste a single second before embracing her in a tight hug, making me step back from them. She could hug her without pushing me aside, no?

"Oh where were you?" Stella pulled back and searched her face. Then she glared at me, "And you, Enzo, was it such an important task that you considered taking her straight from the hospital?"

Before I could answer her, Alora shook her head and said, "Please, don't scold him. It was my idea."

Stella held her both hands, "Defend him all you want but he made a mistake," she said.

Behind her stood Carlo with a broad grin and near him stood Rome who was continuously gesturing to me.

"Both of you should have been here. In my special moment." Stella told her, while Alora's eyes narrowed.

"And you should be in your house right now, not here." I casually told her but she seemed to take my words to heart.

Not my fault. I was not being rude to her any longer. Since that hospital moment, I didn't fight myself to act like a mean person to Stella. Because she helped me to pass through those worse days of my life.

Ignoring my words, Alora kept her focus on the other woman. "Why? Did something happen?"

Maybe Alora missed the part where Stella mentioned about us not being present in her special moment.

Come to think of it, something looked different here.

Stella cleared her throat and shrugged her shoulders. Alora watched her strange behaviour in confusion.
