ALORA

Remember what I have said about types of revelation and its effects on the person. Well, remember the third type and its effects...yes, that's what was happening inside me.

The knowledge given by Luciano just blew my mind in this already dumbstruck current position I was in, though without any consequences- but still I have been feeling so out of the matter. Really. Because everything was happening right behind my back. Only if I had turned to see it I probably would have found it out. But that's where I have been delusional. Because I couldn't see the thing.

Suddenly, all the scenes of Luciano and that bodyguard together flashed before my eyes and only one simple question arrived. Why did I not keep my check on that man from the start either instead of only remaining suspicious of Luciano? Just why?

That bodyguard or Patricia's brother, Paulo, actually haunted me and made me stay as much distance from him as possible. He made me pray to never cross paths with him again. Eventually, I ended up standing in the very same way where the psychopath man was walking around and murdering women.

"I actually despised that man from the beginning." I finally let the words out that had sunk deeper in my heart, and caused me to bleed in terror.

"You have every reason to." Luciano consoled me in a way I am new to.

I sighed internally.

"It would be better if you know the story of that man first." Luciano insisted and I nodded in agreement.

This made me curious. A lot. Moreover, before he even started... I actually started shivering internally knowing that we were talking about a criminal. A psychopath man who takes lives for pleasure. This thought frightened me. So much.

He took a breath. "Paulo was born with a disorder. When his family came to know this news they disinherited him. Their grandfather, the head of the family then- he said Paulo's news can bring disgrace to their family name so he didn't let him have the family name. They despised Paulo. Even his own mother didn't look at him twice. Only except Patricia; she didn't estrange her little brother and tried to bond with him."

Dead silence remained between the members even when Luciano paused, fidgeting his fingers and then he released a long sigh.

Then Luciano continued, "A time, when he was only 9 years old, he had injured the daughter of a woman working in the family. And as no one- including his parents- cared and bothered about him, the woman burned his hand with a hot rod to avenge her daughter. The woman had made a cross mark with that and spitted out with venom, 'You are cut off from the society'."

I nodded wordlessly.

Okay then. So that's the story behind the cross mark which I saw on his palm. And as that's one of the biggest pieces of evidence in this affair, he always wore gloves.

Luciano sighed out. "And that's how an immense hatred built in his heart."

"How do you know every detail of Paulo so well?" Enzo asked, sounding curious. And still somewhat suspicious.

Well, Enzo was right in his place. This thing was rather suspicious and needed to be questioned before believing in his story. No matter even if he was actually, Leone Marshal, and was a companion of my Dad.

Luciano blinked but then said, "Patricia had told me all this." And a long glance passed between the two of us as Enzo tilted his head while staring at him. "We will go to that part also." He assured me rather than doing so to Enzo.

"Of all the women Paulo murdered, Kathie Parker was the first victim whose dead body came out in front of the world. Though Patricia had handled the matters of the dead bodies of all the women he had killed before that."
