"That's right. The masquerade party."

I declared with a bit of a raised tone because I thought this news was actually going to pull waves of excitement from everyone.

"We are going to attend it." I told them.

After all, being invited to one of the greatest masquerade balls of the time- mainly because it has been held by the authorities concerned the underworld- the happiness comes out naturally. The thing is this party was a mirror for all the other acquaintances, companions or anything you say...it was like a treasure for the people who gave their blood and flesh to reach this point of success in the underworld. Therefore, I didn't need to say that this party was absolutely going to blow up everybody's mind, including their feelings.

However, what I think is it will be a huge gathering of all insane people. It sounded funny, and serious at the same time.

Hearing the news, Max quickly clapped his hands while cheering the others. Well, I thought Rome would be hyping up with excitement when he would hear this- but his face remained neutral. I couldn't understand the meaning of this. Because Rome was the main party freak in this group and he always found a chance to get into one. So it was uncommon for him to stay this calm while I just released a banging news.

"That's great," said Galen with a straight face. "So that means everyone will be there."

I nodded.

Everyone will be there. And so those two siblings. To be honest, they didn't concern me. I was only concerned about how Alora would react if she ever came across that psychopath man in there. Although Patricia herself might come before Alora and fake to see her or talk to her.

But I know for a fact that even if that happens Alora will not lose her cool so soon. Because I believe that as Alora now knew very well who was her real acquaintance and who was her actual enemy- now it would have been hard for the villains to manipulate her any longer.

The Mafia masquerade party. In this party, men and women who are a part of the underworld society; they will show up with their dramatic unique attire and with the most important thing which is their masks.
They say the mask has the main role in these masquerade balls because only one's mask can define their unbeatable aura and will present them as mysterious as anyone could be in front of others.

However, for us- this is the perfect game to play with because we mafia people are apparently in the position of mysteries in the outside world's list. So being mysterious for a party won't be that difficult. Though we should invest into the role of those masks.

In this case, I must make sure to get Alora the finest mask for the night. She had to make her aura more inexplicable. Because she had gotten a task to do. To manipulate the manipulator.

"When is this party by the way?" Max asked, moving his arms.

Unexpectedly, he had come to become a little more hyper in current time than he already was after coming into a relationship with Zoey. When I first saw her at Stella's party- her linking arms with Max as he had come to introduce her to us- I wondered if she would be able to handle this boy's craziness. But then I realised later that apparently, Zoey is the same version of Max. So no doubt that they both shared the same brain cells.

Anyways.

"The day after tomorrow." Carlo replied to him on my behalf because by then I was mesmerised by someone's presence.

Something relieved inside me when Alora, as happy as ever, grabbed my arm and then slowly interlinked it with mine. She passed me a darling smile wholeheartedly. Something had been different about her too since she came to know about Luciano's real identity. Since then she had become more joyous and also the lost spark that was gone since the moment in hospital- was again in those beautiful eyes. I could see the sparkles in them. And I loved it so much.
