ALORA

After I came back to the mansion, I ran straight to my comfort. And found him already waiting and worried for me. Only then I had felt so alive. Only then I knew that someone was there for me who always waited for my return home. Only then I realised that that certain someone doesn't want to lose me.

Although I already realized all these things a while ago... it's just I don't want to make myself forget about this. I really don't.

He has become my family. I got someone to call my real friend. A real companion. And I have faith that he, Enzo Ferrante, that man will always- every time will be there, for me, with me. It will always and only be him and I.

When I intended to search for any sign of something new or anything which will tell me that my Mr. Fiance was not on his other side at the moment. Apparently, he was.

I had told him that I was going to meet Arthur to discuss where the case was leading to. I know that I lied. But only because of that lie... I found out the criminal's identity today. His true self. His face. And most importantly, his six fingers.

Enzo embraced me in a warm hug as I let my whole pressure lean into his arms. He didn't complain. In fact, Enzo did some extra work by soothing my back, making me feel relieved that I was safe now. He made me feel more secure than I was there at the club while hiding. And praying for my life. However, his movements stopped- like he completely stilled when I told him about everything that happened.

Every. Single. Things.

Including the running for my life to the men's restroom and before that watching that psychopath brutally harming an already dead man. I told him about that body guard- my bad, he is the killer after all- and his deeds. I told Enzo about spotting an extra finger on his left hand.

Only then I realised that probably that's why that haunted man wore those gloves. Yes, it could be because of that and also the cut mark on his palm.

After my long detailed explanation, I silently waited for any type of reaction to come from my man. What I didn't realise is that I could leave him speechless. And frightened. However, the reason for getting this type of reaction from him... it wasn't because of that killer's identification part. No. It was because of me. And my actions.

Although I felt bad for not telling him this before doing so- how could I do it when I knew very well that he wouldn't let me go there again. Alone.

Therefore, I patiently waited for him to scold me as much as he wanted. But to my surprise, Enzo just kept staring at me like I was an illusion. He kept gazing at me as if I was some kind of his mind tricks and I can disappear anytime in that head of his. Something tightened in my heart at the sudden realisation. So without wasting any second I wrapped my arms around his stiffened body. While he let me take in his space. His mind. And his heart. He gave me everything.

Everything.

Including his soul.

Somehow, I managed to convince him saying that I wouldn't have to go there anymore. Because, finally, the mystery has been solved.

Enzo sighed out. "Well, I didn't see that coming."

Honestly, neither did I. But now everything has been sorted and going just perfectly fine- just like I wished for.

Taking a bite of the pizza that Enzo specially made for me as I did an excellent job, I felt my inside hyping.

"What's the next step then?" Enzo asked, tugging the hair strands behind my ear as they were disturbing me.
