ALORA

By this morning, I had had a few visitors. Including Sir Vincent as he brought Davina to the hospital to meet me. Though she said that he wanted to come along to see how my checkup and recovery sessions are going. I appreciate their careness towards me. And so I wholeheartedly greeted them for coming to see me. I am grateful that so many people care about me even if I am not anyone to them.

The doctor insisted that I needed to stay here in the hospital for some more time because of my recovery phase. That's why I am getting visitors after visitors, whether it's my friends, and Enzo's family. Even Tim also came to see how I am doing and honestly speaking, I was on the verge of crying when I saw him. Because it was unbelievable that I got to see him after everything that happened. As I had already given up after getting shot- it was an unexpected turn of life to show me that it wasn't my end.

However, never have I ever thought that some people outside the family would be coming to visit me as well. They eventually came, anyway. I intensely watched at the door as the familiar woman along with a familiar man- whom I was not going to get out of my suspect list walked inside.

The shifting of air, strengthening of people present in the room while taking heavy breath caused the deafening silence to turn into some kind of a slow-mo melody of some horror movie.

Creepy. I would say.

I noticed Enzo was too stiff as he was sitting near my bed. He glanced at me and I tilted my head. It was kind of a silent conversation going on between the two of us.

As our friends didn't see Luciano like we did- as a suspicious person- they greeted him and his wife with a polite smile glued on their faces. Patricia chose to hug Stella with a warm smile formed on her lips. I still don't find anything strange with her but my mind is constantly repeating the word suspect whenever I am looking at her husband.

Then after that everyone including Stella walked out of the room leaving only the four of us.

"Oh dear, how are you?" She seemed to be honest with her concern.

I smiled. "I am better now."

Enzo got up from his seat and gestured to the woman to have a seat. She mouthed him a thank you and got seated. Meanwhile, Luciano walked behind her chair and stood there.

All those times from entering the room to standing behind his wife- his dreadful eyes were on me. I think Enzo might have noticed it too. Because just then, he walked to the other side of my bed and stood right beside me. We were somehow mirroring the couple before us.

"I feel so sorry for you." There was a glimpse of sadness on her face. "How did this- you are still so young."

Although this was my second time seeing her, it was somewhat strange to think how someone's expression could look so genuine and meaningful along with the wise words they chose to speak. I mean does everyone else express themselves such clearly...and perfectly? Because I have never.

"My wife wanted to see you for once." Luciano spoke for the first time since he came here.

"You know dear, when I heard about your condition I instantly asked Luciano to visit you." Patricia touched his hand which he rested on her shoulder. "You wouldn't believe it, my heart cried when I heard that."

"Thank you for coming." I said, averting my gaze to the man. Something flickered in his eyes but I didn't care about it.

"I am glad to know that you two were concerned about me. But you shouldn't have bothered-"

Patricia cut me off midway. "It's nothing actually, dear."

I smiled in response.

"Is that your man?" Enzo asked them.
