Chapter 72: Rachel Gray.

Apparently, Stella wanted to give a party to her close friends for her happiness of getting engaged. So here we are.

Everyone was coming one by one. Even some of her other friends, and colleagues were also invited. They were hugging her, some were congratulating on her engagement while some were giving flowers.

The atmosphere around the room was quite nice, I must say. A shiver ran down my spine when someone's hand slid around my waist. I turned my face and felt my body relaxed as Enzo smiled at me. He stood completely glued to my side as if we were two bodies but one soul. And yes definitely we are.

"Maybe we should go somewhere we can spend some alone time." Enzo tilted his head.

I chuckled. "Why? Are you bored here?"

Although it was apparent by the boredom look on his face, I still didn't mind getting on his nerves. After all, we were still the same like we used to be even after these lovely changes in between us.

"Well, I am, though. But that's not the main reason." He looked at me with a mischievous smile.

I faked releasing a gasp, throwing a shocked face. "Wouldn't it be inappropriate for us to disappear from our friends' happy moments?"

"It wouldn't be, I assure you. Let them enjoy their happiness, and let me have mine." He said, leaning towards me.

I am his happiness, he said. God, his words, his looks, everything just melted me so fine.

Isn't he acting quite bold today, that too while we are surrounded by so many people? But then, Enzo has always been like this. Come to think of it, it was me who didn't accept this side of him before. However, now I will happily accept every side of him no matter what they are.

After some time, Betty came and when she spotted me, her expression completely changed from nervous to relieved. I finally got my sister back.

"How have you been, Alora." She asked as soon as I approached her.

Before I could respond, Enzo came behind me and held my hand. "She is fine."

Betty's eyes shifted to our hands and she blinked in surprise. She shot a shocking look in my direction. Maybe she finally realised the changes between me and him. Biting my lips, feeling shy, I nodded my head for her confirmation. And just then, she squeaked while hugging me.

"Oh my God! Congratulations, Alora!" She yelled, beaming. "I am genuinely so happy for both of you!"

Then she hurriedly embraced me in a tight hug, again. Brushing her back while controlling the bunch of happiness I felt inside me- my eyes shifted to someone else. As Mia appeared, she greeted Enzo with a warm hello while he greeted back with respect. Then passing a knowing look, before going to the other side- Enzo mouthed me to enjoy with them.

As soon as Betty told Mia about my relationship with Enzo, even she started bursting out with happiness. At the same moment, Stella joined the three of us and just like the hyped up woman she is... she gave those two all the details of the confession. While they listened to her narration with immense interest and excitement.

"So that's how he asked her to marry him." Stella finished her narration.

Betty and Mia stared at me with heart eyes as if I had become a Disney princess in their eyes.

"God. That sounds so romantic." Betty placed her palm above her heart.

At the same moment, another new figure appeared in the entrance door. I thought Stella might go to her for a greeting, however, she remained with us. Now she looked confused.
