"What the fuck is going on?"
You quickly pull apart from Calum's hold, turning to see a furious and saddened Luke at the end of the corridor.
"L-Luke?"
"My best friend and my girlfriend?!" He yells, pulling at his neat hair, and you don't know how to form words, "how long? How long has this been going on behind my back?"
"Luke, please, this is the only time-"
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?" He shouts, the sound bringing tears to your eyes as you stare at his angry form. You can still feel Calum's presence beside you, but you daren't look at him.
"Luke, mate-"
"Don't fucking call me your mate," he grits, blue eyes flashing dangerously as he scans the scene in front of him. He's not an angry or violent person, but I wouldn't put it passed him to act out.
"This wasn't supposed to happen, Luke! I was fine keeping my feelings a secret, but she kept nagging at me!"
"So? What? You thought you'd kiss her, possibly have your sordid way with my girlfriend and then everything would be ok?" He yells again, both boys becoming increasingly angry as the moment continues.
"No! It just happened! We didn't plan for it!"
"He's right, Luke. It just happened," you softly respond in the hopes of calming the tensions, something which doesn't exactly work.
"It just happened?" He mocks, staring at the pair of you, "no. I'm sorry, but my best friend doesn't develop feelings for my girlfriend; kiss her and then possibly have her return them. They don't kiss behind my back, they don't give a pathetic excuse for why it happened, they don't do anything regardless. You're the two people I care most about in life, and you've fucked it all up," he whispers, rubbing his eyes to remove his tears as he turns and walks away from us.
"I'm sorry, Sophie," Calum mutters to me, before turning and leaving as well, so that I'm standing the corridor - sad and alone.
