Friday. The last day of the week, which means the last day of school before 2 days off. It feels like its taken you an eternity to get through this week, its dragged like a mother. Plus, everyday has been the same. One of your friends being asked to prom by either their boyfriend or some guy they was seriously crushing on. And it was always with sweet gestures, on Monday one of your friends was asked by the most popular guy in school, by him bursting into the middle of our Math class and serenading her with one of the music geeks, Luke, on guitar. When you saw Luke walk into the room, you was hoping he was there for you, but you knew it was too good to be true, Luke would never be interested in you. Even though Luke is known as a music geek, he's far from the label of "geek", he always looks so effortlessly perfect, with his quiffed blonde hair, band t shirts and skinny jeans, and his new addition, the lip ring. He had this cute, bad boy persona going for him and one thing you got from it was that it was working for him that's for sure.

As you trudged up the school drive with a group of your friends, all excitedly discussing what they should wear to prom, colour co-ordinating with their dates, choosing hair styles and dresses, if they should all share a limo so they can arrive together, you began to tune them out due to the fact it was clearly obvious you wasn't going to be going with them, as the guy you had a major crush on would never ask you. He wasn't aware that you liked him, at least you don't think he was, you tried flirting but you always ended up being awkward so just maintained being friends with him, seeing as you sat near him in quite a few subjects.

By the time lunch rolls around, you're beyond fed up with the day and just want to go home so you can eat your weight in ice cream all weekend, watching sappy romantic comedies and feeling sorry for yourself because no one was interested in taking you to prom. All of your friends are still heatedly discussing prom, like how can things have changed in the past 2 hours since they last spoke? You're pretty sure you've heard Lily say she's having her hair up at least 6 times now since this morning. Suddenly all of your friends become deadly quiet and you let out a sigh of relief leave your body as you think 'Thank the Lord for that, peace finally'. Its only then that you realise everyone in the outside seating area has become quiet, no movement, no whispers, nothing.

You begin to become very uncomfortable, are people looking at you? No. Your friends have Cheshire cat like grins on their faces. Maybe behind? You slowly begin to turn in your seat when Ashton and Mikey come into view, both of them holding some type of horn in their hands. They raise it to their lips before blowing hard into it, producing a noise that's clearly suppose to alert people, like that of when the Royal Family have an announcement to make.

At this, Luke begins to walk towards them. The centre of attention. Wearing a light blue jacket and white pants with polished brogue shoes, he looks like the stereotypical Prince Charming out of the fairy tales. Calum is following him with a red cushion in his hands, and the reflection of light attracts your attention and you can faintly see what looks like a glass slipper placed delicately on top.

You look back up to see Luke stood a few feet from you, smiling. Doubtful he's smiling at you, you turn and look from left to right and behind you, just in case its meant for someone else. You look back at him as he releases a small chuckle, he bows down to you, standing back up to his full height before extending a hand to you, his other arm behind his back like the typical gentleman, to help you from you seat.

"Y/N, I wanted to make a spectacle. I wanted to gain your attention and that of those around you. Every girl searches day in and day out looking for their Prince Charming. Every guy searches for their Cinderella. I believe I found my Cinderella, I just want to make sure you see me so that you can hopefully complete your search for your Prince Charming. Y/N, I have liked you for quite a long time, so will you please go to prom with me?" He asks you, voice clear and confident. As if he's rehearsed this a million times in front of the mirror.

"Yes" you breathe out, having never been so sure of something in you entire life. You nod along, giggling as people begin to cheer and aww at the event that's taking place in front of them. He hands you the glass slipper off of the cushion, as a token. He bows down again, holding your hand in front of him, kissing the top of it as he smiles up at you, as you curtsy to add to the Princess image you're supposed to be holding. As all of your friends begin gushing about how romantic and adorable Luke was, you couldn't help in thinking that maybe Fridays aren't so bad any more, all because of your Prince Charming.
