Personal imagine for @hellish.hood on IG
"Calum? What's the problem?"
He marches on ahead of you, pulling at his hair in frustration - to the point of it ripping from the root - and you have no idea where his irritation has come from. You both went to a college party with his friends and his happy demeanour quickly changed to...well, this.
"Nothing." He grumbles, pacing faster and you struggle to keep up with him in the heels you stupidly chose to wear to compete with the other girls at the party. They're all always so flashy and perfect looking that you felt that you needed to up your game and keep Calum impressed.
"Clearly, it's something," you huff, catching up to him now that you've removed those ridiculously painful shoes, "You've been - no, we've been - having a great time tonight. Now this. I don't get it."
"Of course you don't!" He spins on his heels to face you, his chocolate eyes darkened to burnt charcoal out of anger, and you flinch back slightly at the intensity of what is going on in front of you. "You wouldn't have noticed anything going on when you have your eyes glued on my mates!"
"What the hell are you talking about?"
"Oh, come on Maddie. I'm not stupid."
His voice constantly rises then falls, and you can feel your own throat burning with the force of his shouting in the middle of the dark and empty street. You're glad that no one is passing by, not wanting to draw attention to the argument you're both in, but you wish that this scenario wasn't playing out.
"I wasn't 'checking out' any of your mates, Calum." You fume, stepping closer to him in the hopes of intimidating - which is difficult now that you're bare foot - and you can feel your cheeks flush with your temper, "I was too self- conscious making sure that you wouldn't prefer the other girls there."
He laughs in a sarcastic manner, forced and unfunny, and you narrow your eyes at him.
"Come off it," he continues to laugh and you're not sure if it is at you or not, "you're my girlfriend. I love you, I don't look at other girls. Yet guys kept looking at you and you didn't even seem to mind. If girls looked at me, I would tell them otherwise."
Now it's your turn. You laugh loudly, even more forced, and it causes your cheeks to hurt. This argument is going downhill quickly. What a way to end a night.
"I didn't notice them looking!" you finally raise your voice above his, causing him to freeze and stare at you in shock, "I already told you that! It proves that I was paying them no attention."
You stand and stare at each other for a short while, the pair of you breathing heavily from the arguing. A couple of cars pass by in the distance, but quickly leave, and you're left in silence once again.
"I'm sorry."
You had gone to apologise to him, but he got in there first. The sincere words flowing from his mouth and making you apologise to him in return.
"I do love you, you know that, right?"
He pulls you in by your waist, a charming and sexy smile on his face, and you grin up at him as you wrap your hands behind his neck. He smells of liquor and stale cigarettes from the frat house. It's disgusting yet you find yourself intoxicated from it.
"I love you, too."
You grab the hat from his head, placing it on backwards on your own, and you peck his lips before grabbing his hand and walking off back to your dorm.
