HIS POV

I walk into the class room with a few friends, sending a smile and a wink at a few of the girls in the front row, who all blush and begin arguing animatedly over who the flirtatious gesture was aimed at. I stalk straight to the back of the room sitting on a table with Luke on my left and Calum and Mikey on a separate table adjacent to ours.

The class is all seated and our teacher, Mr Palmer begins the lesson, handing out tasks and such. The door abruptly opens and hits the wall behind it, attracting the attention of the entire class to whoever was making such a racket 20 minutes into the period. A short, brunette girl slowly appears into the room, slightly flushed and out of breath, clearly from attempting to get to class on time. She begins to approach Mr Palmer with caution, she's clearly apprehensive about being here and she just oozes "new student".

As she's talking, I can't hear what she's saying due to the distance, but I stare fixatedly at her anyway, everyone else has carried on with the challenges written up on the board. Her eyes are scanning the room, as she listens to what the teacher is instructing her to do and its not long before her baby blue eyes stop at mine and a small grin spreads across my lips, her returning the friendly gesture.

"Miss? You can have a seat in that spare seat in front of Ashton. He's the idiot with the scarf wrapped around his forehead." Mr Palmer states. It takes me a moment to realise he's talking about me, however I quickly defend myself.

"It's a bandana actually, sir" earning a few chuckles from the lads beside me. Mr Palmer rolls his eyes, as the unknown girl tries to suppress her laughter, which results in her shoulders shaking lightly up and down. Knowing its me that's made her laugh brings a genuine smile to my face. 1 point to Ashton Irwin, laughter always gets the girls but only some guys seem to posses even the slightest ounce of humour within them.

She gracefully walks towards the table that's in front of me, next to some jock ass hole named Nick. No competition there if I'm being brutally honest, he has the emotional range of a teaspoon. And even that's being kind to the kid. I have this in the bag, I'm sure of it.

As she sits down I notice how her hair is let loose and natural, flowing down passed her shoulders. She cares about her appearance but only to a certain extent, she likes to let her natural beauty shine through, something I commend her for as not many of the girls in this place would, they would rather walk around with "the-crayon-raped-my-face" look. I wait until Mr Palmer carries on with his lesson before I lean forward, lightly tapping her on her shoulder. She slowly turns round, a small smile painted on her lips.

"Hi" she whispers to me.

"Umm, Hi?" Shit, why am I so nervous all of sudden, I made it seem more of a question than a hello. And I was the one who got her attention first. I'm beyond idiotic sometimes, maybe I switched places with Calum.

She looks at me with a confused expression, her eyebrows furrowing the slightest bit. Its the cutest expression I've seen on a girl and it has me smiling within seconds. She coughs, grabbing my attention and quickly snapping me out of my reverie. Yep, I definitely look like a fucking idiot. A creepy one at that.

She begins to turn back around in her seat to do some work when I finally gain confidence to say more than one word to her.

"Umm, sorry about that..." she turns back around, and I leave the end of my sentence hanging waiting for her to fill in her name, so I can fit something to that beautiful face of hers.

"Y/N and you're Ashton" she takes no time in replying and the sound is music to my ears.

"Well, Y/N seeing as you're new here and I'm well known around these parts, I feel its my duty to be your tour guide for the place, introduce you to the right people, escort you to classes, maybe even walk you home?" I confidently ask in the hopes she will agree.

"Sounds good, I could definitely do with some help around here. And that walk home sounds like a plan also." She flashes a small smile at me.

"Awesome" GET IN! I play her agreement off as if its nothing and let her get back on with the class, turning around and writing down what's on the board, I turn to Luke and quickly high five him before resuming on with my work. With the biggest grin that my face can muster, I spend the rest of the lesson thinking about the brunette, blue eyed girl in front of me and the much anticipated walk home together.
