World War II Explained

World War II. The worst war ever. You were waiting for this and now I'm going to tell you about World War II from 1939-1945. Before we get to the actual war let's see how Hitler rose to power and made friends with Imperial Japan and Fascist Italy. 1933-1939. Germany was hit hard by the Great Depression. Money in Germany was worthless and almost no one had a roof over their head or food on their plate. This ended when an Austrian named Adolf Hitler who was a member of the Nazi Socialist Party. And after elections Hitler won and Germany became a Fascist nation under the name of Nazi Germany. Shortly after gaining power Austria joined Nazi Germany and invaded Czechoslovakia this alarmed Great Britain but we'll talk about that soon. Because for his Fascist ideals and wanting World Domination, Hitler became allies with Benito Mussolini and both Hitler and Mussolini had the goal of going back to their old days. Hitler promised the Great German Empire before World War I and Mussolini wanted the old Roman Empire back to it's feet under Mussolini's fascist ideals. Adolf Hitler contacted Emperor Hirohito Showa of the Empire of Imperial Japan and wanted Japan on his side because Japan wanted to invade East Asia and Southeast Asia to become the greatest Asian state. After Japan took Korea and Manchuko Hitler want Imperial Japan on his side. Hirohito Showa accepted alliance with Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. In Spain, a Fascist with the name of Francisco Franco hated a Democratic Spanish Republic and Franco started the Spanish Civil War for a Fascist Spanish Republic. In 1939 with the help of Hitler and Mussolini, Franco won causing Spain to be a Fascist Republic with Franco as leader for as long as Franco wanted. Spain didn't enter World War II though. Know what you've all been waiting for, let's start it. 1939. After Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, the Prime Minister of Great Britain named Neville Chamberlain told Hitler to not invade Poland. In 1939 Hitler declared war on Poland and invaded Poland this caused Great Britain and France to declare war on Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union agreed to invade Poland Nazi's controlled the west and Soviets controls the east, the Soviets promised that they will stay out the war. Nazi Germany quickly invaded Poland with a technique called Blitzkrieg where an area is attacked by tanks and bombers followed by soldiers to clear the area and make it Nazi territory. 1940. After that, Norway declared war on Nazi Germany but the quickest way to get to Norway without through neutral Sweden was Denmark. The Nazis declared war on Denmark and quickly invaded Denmark after invading Denmark they invaded Norway. After that invasion the, Nazi Germany launched Operation Fall Gelb the recreation of the original Shleifen plan which Germany invades Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg and after that Hitler invaded France. In June Mussolini declares war on the Great Britain and France. In July Hitler invaded France after the invasion Hitler formed a the puppet government of Vichy France and Vichy France occupies French West Africa, Algeria (French Colony), French Morroco, Syria (French Colony), French Somaliland (What is now Djibouti which was a French Colony), and French Indochina. French Indochina is given to Japan. In the Horn of Africa, Italy invaded Ethiopia and later invaded British Somaliland. The Allied Powers invade much of French West Africa. 1941. Fascist Italy's new colony in the Horn of Africa named Italian East Africa was invaded by the British. Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania join the Axis Powers. After that the Axis focused in the Balkans. Italy attacked first invading Greece, but invasion backfires and Greece invades Albania which was an Italian colony before Poland's invasion, Yugoslavia joined the Axis for one day, after they withdrew their alliance with the Axis, afterwards the Axis invades Yugoslavia, with Italy taking the coast and Macedonia, Germany annexing Northern Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, and Romania made annexations and 2 puppet states. Afterwards the Axis invade Greece. Also in 1941, Hitler invaded the Soviet Union breaking the deal and in the beginning the invasion was successful almost invading Moscow but later the winter killed off the Germans and were pushed back out of Russia. December 7 1941, Imperial Japan attacks Pearl Harbor in Hawaii believing that destroying Pearl Harbor will keep the U.S out of the war. They were wrong. The U.S declared war on Japan, this caused Germany to declare war on the U.S. China joins the Allies.1942. Italy annexes Tunisia. Mexico joins the Allies. Brazil joins the Allies. Cuba joins Allies. Thailand joins the Axis. Japan invades Southeast Asia and Burma from Great Britain, the Netherlands, and the United States. November 1942, the U.S invades Axis controlled Africa quickly defeating the Italians and Vichy France afterwards Italy and Germany annexes Vichy France. 1943. Soviet Russia takes back Stalingrad and other Axis controlled territories and then begins taking back Ukraine. April Italy is defeated in Africa. China invades Japanese controlled territories in Inner Mongolia. Allies invade the island of Sicily, Italy then invade Southern Italy. Mussolini has been overthrown causing Italy to surrender and Germany invades Northern Italy. 1944. Soviet Russia takes back Ukraine and invades Romania and the Baltic States. Allies move more into Italy. Soviet Russia invades the Balkans. Finland gets invaded by Germany the invasion is quickly rebelled. France is liberated from Germany and France invades Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg taking them from German control. The British invade Burma and New Guinea. The U.S invades the Phillipines. 1945. While invading the Soviets found something very disturbing. Ethnicities from all across Europe were being killed by Nazi soldiers the most ethnicity killed were the Jews 6,000,000 out of 12,000,000 people that was killed were Jews. The Soviet Union invades Norway. Finland joins Allies. The Soviets invaded Germany and were the first to make to Berlin. May Hitler and his wife committed suicide, his wife with a cyanide pill and Hitler with a gunshot to the head. A week layer Germany surrenders. The war ends! In Europe. The Japanese haven't surrendered yet. The American military had technology that made atomic bombs and Japan and the U.S were both scared of invading their enemies mainland, so the U.S government decides to drop atomic bombs until Emperor Hirohito Showa agrees for a new constitution and surrender conquered land back to previous owners. The 1st bomb is dropped in Hiroshima, the Japanese still didn't surrender so they dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki, and Japan officially surrendered. In August 9th the Soviets invade Manchuko and Korea. Honorable Mentions. Operation: Cherry Blossoms at Night. Spain? Why didn't Spain join WW2? I mean Spain was Fascist and had ties to Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, why didn't Spain join? It is believed that the British Prime Minister bribed money to Franco so Spain won't enter WW2. Japanese sensitivity and unacknowledged colonizing. Japan is extremely sorry for all of the colonizing during WW2 they said sorry to S.Korea, Burma, China, Indonesia, Australia, the U.S, and the rest. Also you should know that Japan doesn't acknowledge the Japanese colonization of WW2 in Japanese historical books. World War III didn't start yet. Let's keep it that way.
