Korea hates Japan

South Korea, a place of freedom, a place of entertainment, a place of Kim Jong-Un memes, but also a place where the Japanese aren't happily welcomed, but can live like any other South Korean. North Korea, a place not to go, a place where Kim Jong-Un can do whatever he wants to you, a place of South Korean death threats, a place that if your Japanese, your fucked bro. Since when did Koreans hated the Japanese. 4/5 people living in the Korean Peninsula show negative approvals to Japan. Why is this? Well if you read previous chapters you should know that Imperial Japan annexed Korea as a colony in 1910 until Japan adopted a democratic constitution and the Japanese let Korea go. You should also know that Japanese occupation did have negatives and positives. The positives were that the Japanese trained Koreans who wanted to serve in the Imperial Japanese military, this seemed helpful during the Korean War. And Japan modernized Korea, increasing industrial boom and increase with trade. The negatives were that the Japanese armies made brothels and forcefully send female Koreans to "pleasure" the Japanese soldiers at anytime. As a matter a fact, Japan didn't recognized the Korean sex trade until the 1990's, that's 80+ years that the Japanese denied the brothel's existence. Also in Japanese historical books, they deny the Japanese ever colonizing Korea which means the government doesn't officially recognized the torment during the Japanese occupation which angers South Koreans. Don't forget that Japan is the reason why Korea was split causing more tensions. In North Korea if you are Japanese migrate into North Korea you will almost immediately get sent to death camps and the North Korean officials in the camps can do whatever they want. So basically Koreans hate the Japanese but the South Korean government and the Japanese government are still good friends to this day. North Korea is a totally different story.
