Have you always wondered what the oldest country in the world is? Well it depends how you describe a country. If you say a country with the same government it had years ago then the oldest country is Japan with the first Japanese Emperor, Emperor Jimmu in 660 B.C. But if you include just the country and leave the "same government" behind then Egypt is the oldest starting between 11,000 B.C and the 1600's. The newest country is South Sudan. Why? Because Jesus. The Northern part of Sudan is Muslim while the South is usually Orthodox Christian and that's when S. Sudan successfully seceded from Sudan in 2011. That's all. But you know we're not finished. What about the countries before S. Sudan? Well I'll tell you. Serbia and Montenegro. In 2006 the country Serbia-Montenegro had split because the break up of Yugoslavia about a decade before. Kosovo. Kosovo is disputed to be rather part of Serbia or an independent country. 100+ members recognize Kosovo as a country supposedly seceded from Serbia. Why? Because Albania. A majority of Kosovo's population are ethnic Albanians and not ethnic Serbs, and after the fall of the Federation of Yugoslavia in 90's the Serbs are treating the Albanians as well Serbs not Albanians which makes a lot of people in Kosovo very furious with a Serbian flag over their head representing Serbia not Kosovo. Now for real this time is the end.
