Same as last time. We are looking at the regions wanting to secede from their ruling country. Somaliland, Somalia. Somaliland was under British control until World War II when the Horn of Africa was invaded by Fascist Italy. Of course Somaliland declared independence from Somalia, every single country said you are part of Somalia and will stay that way until an actual revolution. Bioko, Equatorial Guinea. There is an island between Cameroon and Nigeria named Bioko Island, currently the island is under control of the Spanish speaking government of Equatorial Guinea. The Bubi people (yes their name is Bubi) that inhabited the island before the island was colonized by Spain then the island was seceded to the Spanish Colony of Rio Muni after Rio Muni gained independence from Spain and was later named Ecuatorial Guinea and currently the Bubi people are attempting to kick the Spanish Africans out of the island but it is currently unsuccessful. Western Sahara, West Africa. Western Sahara is currently mostly under control of Morroco, and the Spanish and Arabic speaking, self declared government of Western Sahara or the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic was fighting for independence since the 50's when they were still a colony of Spain (Spain is going to mentioned A LOT) and even after Spain's withdrawal the region is still disputed and were somewhat successful but are currently losing to Morroco. Islas Canarias, Spain. Islas Canarias or Canary Islands are currently under control of Spain, Spain may be close but the population of the Canary Islands are Spanish speaking Africans and the islands are not that far from the African West Coast. Toubouland, Libya & Chad. The Tibesti mountains and the Aouzou Strip has been a dispute for awhile at first the Aouzou Strip was part of Chad but the Chadian President seceded the land to Libya but then Muammar Gaddafi gave it back to Chad. Under Gaddafi's dictatorship Libya was kept under control but Gaddafi was killed in 2011 and now the people living in the Tibesti mountains and the Aouzou Strip want secession and while Libya is currently under a Civil War they are trying to make Toubouland a reality. North Nigeria. A majority of Nigeria is Christian mostly in the south and east in the west it's mixed between Islamic and Christian the North is mostly Muslim and currently in the north the Muslim people want independence from mostly a Christian Nigeria and currently there is no fighting but they trying to get independence. I'm afraid that's all we got today next up Oceania and Pacific.
