Republic of Texas, when the Mexican government failed to make Mexicans live above the Rio Grande River they decided to let a lot of Americans in what is now Texas and over time there were more Americans than Mexicans, the Texan revolted against the Mexican government and succeeded, Texas stayed a country from 1836-1846 until being annexed by the United States. The Californian Republic, same thing with Texas but stayed independent for 3 weeks. Czechoslovakia was a country that was formed in 1918 from Austria-Hungary just like Yugoslavia, and just like Yugoslavia fell from the fall of Communism and is what is now the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Austria-Hungary a.k.a Austro-Hungarian Empire, one of the largest European nations, Austria-Hungary was a powerful but peaceful country until Archduke Franz Ferdinand was killed which started WW1 and Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed in 1918. Ottoman Empire, a Turkish nation, the Ottoman Empire was one the largest Arab empires it collapsed in WW1 and also killed 1.5 Million Armenians from 1915-1922 because it collapsed in 1922.
