Have you always wondered why the region of Palestine is a disputed about being a country or part of Israel? Well I'll tell you. First let's breakdown a historical misconception, the Israel Palestine Conflict hasn't been a problem for centuries, the problem has gotten really bad but the conflict started after World War II. So let's actually talk about the conflict. First let's go to 1918, the end of World War I, the Ottoman Empire has been kicked out of their controlled lands between the Arabian Peninsula and mainland Turkey, after the Ottomans left, the British and French stormed in making colonies in former Ottoman lands, Great Britain colonizes Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. While the French occupy Syria and Lebanon. In Israel and Palestine or the British Colony of British Palestine had a majority of Muslims and small Christian and Jewish communities, in the early 20th Century the Jewish Community was growing in British Palestine to the 10,000s. Then came World War II and the Axis and Axis affiliated run Holocaust which mainly targeted Jews and other minorities that the Axis Powers and Axis affiliated countries hated. Of course Jews fled Europe to the Allied Power defended British Palestine, and from 1941 to Hitler's suicide in 1945 100,000s-1,000,000s Jews fled to British Palestine. So in 1947 when European Imperialism was beginning to downgrade because of the UN, the UN and Great Britain decided to withdraw from British Palestine. But the UN and Great Britain set a deal for the population, their would be 2 states rising from the ashes of British Palestine, one for Jews (Israel) and one for the Palestinians (Palestine), and the city of Jerusalem was a district for all the ethnicities to from the states to live in peace. The British would withdraw as promised. But the UN plan to divide British Palestine was simply another move for European Imperialism as it was seen in the other Muslim countries. So the Arab world declares war on Israel. And Israel wins. Taking all of the territory promised to Palestine except for the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The Israelis invaded Jerusalem and made it part of Israel instead of being enclaved by Palestine. In 1967, the Arab world declares war on Israel again but this time Israel goes far over their own borders taking Sinai from Egypt which kicked Egypt out of the Middle East, Golan Heights from Syria, and invades West Bank and Gaza. So after a Peace Treaty was formed to end the war in 1967, Israel gave Sinai back to Egypt as part of the Peace Treaty. And after that Israel as of right know is attempting to control the Israel-Palestine Conflict instead of ending it, but with the conflict going into violence, the Israel-Palestine isn't going to end anytime soon.
