Napoleon Bonaparte at least 1 person knows about this French General. 1st let's tell you the truth. Napoleon was never short it was just propaganda by the British during the Napoleonic Era. Napoleon did a few things that might have changed history if there was no Napoleon. After overthrowing the King of France the French People decided to be a Republic. Napoleon became leader in the early 1800's. Many other European nations saw what the French did and feared the same will happen to them. They wanted Napoleon down. After years of fighting Napoleon took Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands and many other Western European nations and installed Puppet governments. Napoleon also defeated the Holy Roman Empire. When Napoleon took most of Europe he decided to invade Russia. And he FAILED. Bringing a weak Napoleon vulnerable, and Spain back to it was with the help of Great Britain and Portugal. European nations gave Napoleon a chance to stay Emperor but only mainland France and not the occupied French territory. Napoleon refused and was quickly defeated and he abdicated. Napoleon was brought to the island of Elba. Napoleon didn't give up and tried to be Emperor again he was successful but shortly after abdicated again. This time Napoleon was put in an island in the Atlantic Ocean. And he died. Napoleon brought the Metric System to Most the world and brought democracy to Europe. He also destroyed the Spanish and Portuguese Empires in the Americas. He may have also started the World Wars? But I honestly don't see how Napoleon started it.
