Joseph Stalin. A man is who depicted as the most evil man in history, more evil than Hitler. But was a Stalin really a monster? Joseph Stalin did many good accomplishments and bad accomplishments. In democracies like the UK and U.S, Stalin was a monster in history. But is this true? In countries like the former Soviet Union, Stalin wasn't a terrible person. Why? Because Communism. The Communist ideology, is the state which prohibits private ownership for anything and everyone must work and work to benefit the state. Stalin as the dictator of the U.S.S.R followed the ideology, he killed millions because he thought is was good for Russia to get rid of the people that will threaten the Soviet Union. So, Stalin intentionally killed millions to protect Russia from other ideologies, so technically Stalin killed for his beliefs. But now, was Stalin a good person? In 1941. Nazi Germany invades Russia, Stalin as the leader, led the Soviets' large army against Nazi Germany's invasion, successfully saving the entire world's live from the Nazis' world domination and at the time the U.S was allied with the U.S.S.R which meant they were friends against the Axis Powers. When the U.S went against Stalin was after World War II, when the Soviet Union was spreading communism from former Axis Powers and former Axis colonies and also spreading communism in Allied Powers extremely affected from World War II and countries that gained independence that were former Allied colonies. When Stalin died in 1953, the U.S believed that Stalin's Era has ended because 1 Stalin died, 2 the new president of the U.S.S.R "de-Stalinized" the Soviet Union but Stalin's Era didn't die until the death of Mao Zedong in Communist China. So was Stalin good or bad? Well many times in history says both.
