When I woke up, Keith's arm was around me, and my fingers were barely touching his collarbones. I blushed, and looked at the digital clock on his dresser. It was really early in the morning. The sun wasn't even close to being up yet. I glanced around his room, not seeing my suitcase full of valuables. That idiot.

I carefully climbed around Keith so I wouldn't disturb him. He was sleeping without his usual jacket, and it was kind of nice to see his elbows. I snapped out of it, sneaking down the hallways in the dark morning. I heard an alarm go off, nearly jolting myself out of my skin it was so sudden. A female figure ran at me, with a troop of robots behind her.

"Stop immediately!"
Her British accent rang through the hall, commanding, yet slightly scared.

I wasn't going to take any chances.

My whips swung out at her, the tips electric sparks. She dodged, letting her robosoldier take the hit. She ran back, screaming for reinforcements.

I swung at the small army of robots before the lights in the hall turned on suddenly, and four tired looking people, only one in a suit, took fighting stances with their weapons.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" Black suit demanded.

It was the same suit as Keith's, but a different color. I sighed, putting my whips to my sides. They weren't going to hurt me, I was with them.

"I was just looking for my-"

Keith ran in, dazed and with his sword. Bags hung under his eyes and his hair was a mess. He put an arm around me defensively.
"Guys, it's okay. She's with me."

The guy in the blue pajamas walked up to Keith and punched him playfully in the shoulder, then put it around Keith's shoulders and smirked.
"Wow Keith, I'm impressed! I never thought you'd get a girl this hot... how'd you convince her to date you?"

Keith looked like he was going to blow up in this guy's face. It was meant to be a joke, but came off more like an insult. I gave his waist a gentle squeeze, reminding him that everyone was staring.

"This is Nitro. I picked her up on our Earth mission. She's a great fighter."

The girl from earlier appeared, and walked up to me. I stared right back at her blue eyes. No way was I backing down, I would never.

"This Earth girl attacked my droids and myself! I hardly think she's suitable for this team."

"Allura-"
Black suit warned.

"Hardly suitable, huh? I'd like to remind you who ran from the fight to get these four to fight for you. Look, I don't care who you think you are Princess, but I know who I am. And believe me, I'm a force to be reckoned with." I countered coolly.

Her face turned red, she had nothing to say. She huffed and walked away.
"Just so you know, the team and my kingdom actually calls me Princess."

"That's nice, sweetie. Want me to kiss your royal feet now?"
I mocked, though she'd already left.

"Whoah, Nitro. Why don't you meet your new team, then?"
Keith pulled me back, and I sighed.

Black suit came up to me, and shook my hand. "I'm Shiro."

"Nice meeting you, Shiro."

The big guy in the yellow jammies introduced himself awkwardly.
"Call me Hunk..."

"Hey, Hunk."

Green shirt shook my hand politely.
"I'm Pidge, and I like your bracelet."

I glanced down at it, and smiled. It was a braided bracelet, one ribbon green, one leather, and one the representing flag for people like me.  Pidge knew. She winked, and stepped back for blue jammies.

"Hey, I'm Lance. Hope we can be friends, or when Keith isn't looking, more-" He was cut off by a sharp:
"LANCE!!!"

Especially by Keith, who had started to angrily lead me back to the room.
"I'm tired, let's just go back to sleep."
