"Keith?"
No. Please. I can't do this anymore. I can't live without her anymore.
More than anything in the universe, I just want my Space Girl back.
Please... don't torture me like this... she's gone and now...
"Keith?"
It was louder this time. Clearer.
No. It's just a dream.
I felt her hand brush against my cheek, and then louder and more concerned this time:
"Keith?"
I opened my eyes, accidentally letting a few tears slip past. Her eyes widened, and wiped them away with her kisses.
"What's wrong? Why are you crying? Look, I brought breakfast-"
"Nothing is wrong. You're here, aren't you? You're here with me?"
"I'm right here, Space Boy."
She laughed, kissing my forehead."I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier."
I blurted out."Tell me what?"
"I really like you, you know that?"
She broke into a grin, causing me to smile. Nitro always had the best smiles. That little lip curve, that clever smirk she always wore.
"Keith, I like you too."
"Can I kiss you?"
I traced the side of her face with my thumb."Yes."
Her kisses were always gentle. Nitro wrapped her arms around my neck, and I ran my hands up and down the length of her back.
"Did you miss me, Keith?"
She planted one on my jaw."You have no idea."
